That's the whole point of my suggestion. If there is a block by the OP or the other user, they are prevented from posting in each other's thread.

Simple and it works for everyone.

Again only in the journals section do I think topic starter should be allowed to block. The rest of the forum - have at it.

Third post in the Usual Suspect who trolls every Trading thread derailed it. Although humour followed it did defeat the purpose of a Trading journal.

Not really. I mean think about it from the perspective of free speech. Everyone has the right to say what they want. If you don't want to listen to them, you ignore/block them. When you look at your thread, you see a bunch of posts skipped, but you don't have to read it now.

What you guys are suggesting is a silencing of any dissent so to speak, and that is very dangerous.

If Dest had any self control, he would just ignore who he doesn't like, and then doesn't have to read their posts. I for example have Overnight and Maxinger ignored, and I don't see what they are saying, although I've seen some posts here suggesting they are here replying. But I have no idea what they are saying nor do I care.

Why Dest doesn't just put the guys on ignore who he doesn't like and just read the posts of the people left, I have no idea.
(Edit... of course I know why... he enjoys engaging them)

No dude, we ain't on the same page. You're merely complaining that the one who blocks the narcissist shouldn't be posting on the narcissist's thread (and I get your point that they have no business doing so). On the other hand, my point is that elevating Dest's posting privilege to self-moderate his own thread is egregiously stupid. We all know what a bully he is.

I can understand if Baron asks him to come on board to moderate for being a productive member of this community. But it's Dest who is asking Baron (and in a not so subtle way, might I add) for such a privilege, which tells you what a narcissist he is.
