Trump launched his campaign June 16th 2015,in the beginning of July 2015 he was in the lead.Bush was ahead before Trump because he started his campaign before Trump,Dec 16th 2014.
So Trump began his campaign before DeSantis did this time around. Using this logic it would suggest it is possible for DeSantis to overtake Trump soon. Again, I'm not saying anything other than its anyone's guess at this point.
Both of these RINOs have no chance. Just as RINOs McCain and Romney before them. No way would I ever vote for a RINO or even a Democrat today. The last Democrat of substance for me was John F. Kennedy but, you saw what they did to the guys who do the right things. Not the same as people didn't know, expect ,or take Trump seriously about running for president last time and trump wasn't included in most polls until he announced.It was already widely expected that Desantis would run so people have already thought about him running and he has been included in all major polls long before he announced.

Im countering your argument that polls at this time are worthless because Jeb was once ahead in the polls.That would be a great point if Trump and Jeb were both included in the polls and Jeb was ahead but Trump was not included in the polls when Jeb was in the lead,he hadn't even announced.Once Trump announced and was included in the polls he shot to # 1 and never looked back.
Trump and Desantis has been head to head in 2024 polls since they started,and Trump has always been ahead.
As I previously stated I agree with you about a possible curve ball this year due to Trumps legal troubles.That Desantis only chance though imo.
Question to you: do you believe DeSantis is the best conservatives in the US have to offer the country? Not just among current candidates but more generally. If not, why is it that the best don't float to the top? The answer to this imo is everything that is wrong with America at the moment. A turning away from a meritocracy, toward favoritism, nepotism, corruption, and addiction to power. I dare ask anyone to guess Gen McArthur's political leaning without reading deep into his bio. Can the same be said about Pompeo or any other top public servants currently or the recent past?
