What I'm telling you is that judging DeSantis' polling numbers and equating that to his chance to win at this point tells nothing. Just like it told nothing of Trump's chances to win back then. I don't know if DeSantis has a chance, or if he doesn't. What I do know is that its too early to pontificate on who is going to go down.

So many experts in geopolitics, or politics in general, or COVID, or whatever on this forum. We're lucky to have access to this broad expertise. Its fine to have opinions, but predictions almost never work out the way people predict things will. just look at GWB for a prime example of forecasting stupidity.

I am judging Ronnie's chances on the paltofrm he is displaying weekly over the past 6 months. I dont see any difference between him and trump so why will he be able to overcome the guy who is so far out in front who he is merely copying?

But God forbid I express an opinion .. opinions can be right or wrong...

Is this a POLITICS forum... where opinions are expressed? WTF dude

Does ronnie cover your rent...why you so eager to stick up for him? He is just a politician, they are all fucking leeches.
 
Despite being aligned with his societal convictions I also don't get his investment in DeSantis. Is @Tsing Tao Floridian?

I live in Tampa, yes. But "investment in DeSantis"? If you go back and look at when this thread was created and the vast majority of the topic content, it was about how DeSantis handled COVID, right from the start. He did an amazing job at it, and its what put him on the political map (and a major reason why the left hates him so badly). It was all the AntiDeSanti folks out there that then tried to make the thread about DeSantis' political aspirations. I don't expect fair treatment from those on the left (and some folks like the one your conversing with) are all about slamming him for action but all but ignoring the same actions on the other side of the aisle - until you challenge him and then its suddenly "all politicians suck", which they do).

So I'm not sure what your angle is here, but try to get in the right context about what mine is if you're going to say I've got "investment in DeSantis".
