Because if its one thing you can count on from an NPC, it is that the NPC will give you its assigned talking points.

Right. But it wasn't always so during the pandemic. Florida's approach was correct. And DeSantis got a lot of shit for sticking to it.
DeSantis’ approach of hiding the data and pretending Covid did not exist to foster his political ambitions was a complete disaster for Florida and led to many easily preventable excess deaths.
