DeSantis for the win

With all your posts speaking out against the handling of current coronavirus efforts, how would you manage the situation?

I have outlined multiple times how to handle the situation -- even pointing to countries that have handled it correctly.

Sadly some people believe that the "only thing that matters is how many people die". Sadly they are willing to ignore the people who will endure lifetime health issues, the lengthy hospitalizations, all the ill people at home who can't go to work and burden on numerous families burying their loved ones --- as long as the economy is open and they can go to the bar -- then everything is OK by them.

I've asked you this before and you ignored it or tried to deflect, but let's go down this road once more for posterity.

Please show me an empirical study that shows that COVID 19 patients have more serious lasting effects than the average flu, pneumonia or other respiratory viruses.

And yet there have been endless articles and information posted about COVID long-haulers. Go read the previous posts.

You said that last time and didn't produce anything empirical. I'm not talking about "articles". Anyone can write an "article".

I've asked him that before and he went silent. He'll say something like "lets take a look at New Zealand" or something and push a total lockdown because that's what he believes.

There have been endless threads and posts regarding New Zealand, South Korea, Germany and other countries. Do a search on them. There is no need to re-post 500+ items as second time.

See, Wallet? That's all he's got.

Once again -- go read the studies linked to from this Nature summary.

There are multiple studies on COVID "long haulers" under-weigh as outlined in this Nature article. There is certainly enough medical evidence that there are numerous long-term COVID health issues -- however it takes time for complete studies on these issues.
