The only problem with this is the effect from other states and on other states. Its not just a microcosm of Florida.

Yes that's right. However, look at other places where the lockdown was small or non-existent and you can see that they are mirroring Sweden. Florida, Texas and Arizona had too much of a lockdown and are now going through what they could have already gone through like Sweden. There is another factor here that I don't see addressed much and that is the fact that these 3 states have people leaving other states like NY and heading south to them. These 3 states will get thru this fairly soon. DeSantis is doing fine.

Come on, now. That doesn't explain a 100% positive rate at a testing center. There would be negatives. You'd expect something in the neighborhood of the overall average, but in higher concentrated areas, a bit worse. Not 100%.

I wondered that myself, I tend to believe that most infections come from touching the face etc. With the massive difference between states that wear just cotton masks and those that don't that don't, kinda makes me think that the micro particulate theory doesn't hold. That masks prevent the large droppings from getting everywhere for people to touch them. What bothers me is how there can be no scientific way to know for sure, get some young really healthy people and test it, would be safer than being the first group to test the vaccine imo.

The rate of infection may well be lower than reported, and the 50% bump might just be catch ups, but that doesn't change the underlying trend in hospitalizations which is what really matters.
