There are endless papers showing many participants at the special Olympics are medically at risk. Most have physical impairments (which causes risks in events) and comorbidities which impact competing and clearly places them in the at-risk group for Covid (obesity, diabetes, etc.). There are many medical papers and articles documenting this which can be found in a simple Google search. If you don't believe me -- then go do what I have done in the past -- go volunteer at your local Special Olympics events and see for yourself.

I see nothing in any of your links making them at-risk to COVID. Nothing at all. Besides, even if they were (which they are not), they could get vaccinated if they wanted, right?
Obesity, diabetes and the other listed conditions don't make them at-risk for Covid? What magical world do you live in? (Obviously not Disney).
Obesity is a factor, as is diabetes. But how many are diabetic? Lots of kids are fat and pre-diabetic. So that doesn't differ from normal children. So again I ask you, how many children died of COVID? Since the start of the pandemic?? I'll even settle for how many special needs children.
DeSantis comes out directly and states he cancelled the $35 million for the Tampa Bay Rays facility because they spoke out against gun violence - as he proclaimed it is 'inappropriate to subsidize political activism". Once again DeSantis punishes corporations and people who oppose his political narrative. So much for free speech.
Anyone who continues to stick to a line of "not giving taxpayer dollars to national sports teams" narrative as the only factor underlying the veto obviously has a screw loose -- seeing DeSantis never opposed giving money to professional sports teams in the past.
