Looking back, I myself only had complications once when I was a kid and I've had the flu shot maybe 6 times since. Last time was last year...no complications...no fever...no soreness in the arm...nothing.

In contrast, my Mom had the Flu vaccine two years ago and she had to be taken to the hospital the next day. Released two days later after a bunch of tests on her heart.

I have never had any complications myself from a flu shot but I don't trust what might be coming up with a Covid-19 shot. And having that a mandatory shot doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

Sad to hear about your mom having a bad reaction to the flu shot. Glad she got out of the hospital two days later. Hopefully the bunch of tests on her heart turned out well.

Agreed but the Flu vaccine is optional....why mandate a flu vaccine to deal with a Corona virus when one has nothing to do with the other...


I think Massachussets is going a little too far. Polio and TBT and Rubella and Measels have compelling interest to have kids vaccinated but we all do not get the Flu shots nor do doctors mandate Flu shots for everyone except often elderly or at risk or child care workers.

I wrote a message about here during the Pandemic about the government may find a sneaky way to make Covid-19 shot mandatory for school, flights, military (this is guaranteed), military academies...

Maybe private businesses or government jobs may require Covid-19 vaccination shots for employment at a company.

I really can see this going much further than just schools.

You can always come to Canada and we have some good Militias and Survivalist groups here too. Protesting is all over the world now...I think its a good time than any other past attempts to have Québec become a soverign country. :D

A LOT of people do move to Canada to get away from the insanity of the left in the USA. More so in these current conditions than ever before. And good for them.

The Flu is not COVID & it's not HPV. kids get the flu and are struck down by it. We've got enough history w/the flu vaccine that asking for it to be mandatory is no unreasonable. Only kooks will try to draw parallels and make this about COVID. Don't fall for it.
 
Years ago vaccines were for preventing childhood diseases... and presumedly safer.

Today, however, vaccines can be a weapon to achieve political agenda goals... including depopulation.

Conspiracy... yeah, I know. But I don't trust the government to not harm me or even kill me off if it suits them.

(I've had one flu shot in my life... years back when the swine flu was all over the news, I got it free through my car window at a school parking lot... don't plan on taking another. As for now, same plan for the Covid.)

In regards to the HPV vaccine it is not on the list of mandatory vaccines in the associated vaccine schedule as far a I know. The vaccine is optional. HPV compared to COVID, mumps, measles, etc. is not a highly communicable deadly disease.

So you're saying I have to trust that the government will see to the well being of my child no matter what? If the HPV was on the mandatory list of vaccines and I refused it because my 4 year old didn't need it at that point, I'd be an anti-vaxxer.

Some countries are going to mandate the Covid vaccine (assuming one actually is created) from the moment it is released. Rushed, and then released. And you think this is a wise idea.

Vaccines have a place in society, for obvious reasons. But in your opinion, we have to trust the government to care for us and make sure that we are "taking our medicine". But its ok to distrust government on a broad range of other issues.

That makes perfect sense.
 
Flu vaccines are not guaranteed effective because the strain changed regularly.

Also.adults that are around kids a lot are recommended to get a flu shot to protect kids.

But mandating a flu shot is going a little too far. Yeah kids get flu but it has not risen to a serious epidemic level that disrupts schools and communities. You are contagious is when you have symptoms and at that point you are sick and must stay home.

There is no need to mandate a flu shot..just government over stepping in a panic. Adults are the highest risk and that is for them to decide since flu shots are not even 100% effective, some who get the flu shot get actually sick and others who get the shot still get the flu.

Why are Massholes suddenly worried about making flu shots mandatory? This is not their purview and has no rational basis. If doctors and medical community do not mandate the shot why should a school board do it?

Doctors only push for the flu shot in at risk elderly people...if people followed the COVId protocols of washing hands, not touching their faces, covering mouths to.cough or sneeze etc.. flu.incidence would drop significantly.

Sorry but unlike measels and polio there is no medical backing or science to push a mandared flu vaccine. It is not an anti.vaxx position..it is just.common sense. Many people allergic to it, get sick from it, still get the flu with it etc..

Just dont be disgusting and you can prevent the spread...
