Democrats can raise the debt ceiling, but aren't

What rational person would engage in such a exercise in futility only to prove my point? How many days, weeks, months, years would we go tit for tat only to end up knowing with absolute certainty that the government, the ENTIRE government comprised of both political parties is corrupt to the core? Keep drinking that Kool-Aid, they love lemmings like you.

Right, this would involve critical examination and that doesn’t work when you make statements are not based on reality.

Both parties are not equally corrupt. The Republican Party is very corrupt from the RNC down through the elected ranks. Democrats have engaged in some corruption and I can probably identify more than you even know of but nowhere near the extent of the republicans. And that is especially true in recent years. Every American should be outraged with the corruption in the Republican Party right now.

Actually it is the opposite. Their is surprisingly little real corruption in government. Some of us have been brainwashed from the time we were small children to think otherwise.

Government isn't the problem, it's a few horrifically evil people within government that cause major problems. And now the republic itself is in danger because of one such person.
One person? You're being a bit too hard on Joe, wouldn't you say? :DHe has help.

Yes, the Pareto principle likely applies here, i.e. 20% of politicians cause 80% of the problems. But you knew that. :)

To agree with this it is the uppermost levels of government that uses its position of power for advancement and personal gain and that is really a small percentage....
