We can pull up all the bills supported by Dems that contain border security funding and similar to GOP desires.
However, the Cheetoh gets everyone all worked up about a $5 billion dollar wall and you all think it is the Golden Answer.
We show you stats that say most illegals are visa overstays who don't cross the Southern Border but come in legally. We need better tracking systems.
We show you stats that show you most drugs also come in through ports of entry no hidden in the anus of people running through the desert. We show you videos of technology catching many people climbing over the walls getting caught...because of the technology which needs to be added and improved. We need a lot of work in those areas.
But some of you are so fixated that we need a big WALL across 2000 miles as THE way to stop illegals and drugs from coming in you ignore everything else. You become so fixated on the WALL that anyone who tries to tell you that improving infrastructure at points should be part of the package but not a coast to coast wall at 4 times the annual funding is for OPEN BORDERS. You were scammed by Trump and won't admit it.
Trump got many of you fixed to the WALL and ignored all the other facts so you were fine shutting down the government for 35 days and still chant about a WALL as the ANSWER and that everyone else wants illegals pouring over the unprotected line in the desert.
Let us not forget that caravans of people were stopped at our border due to walls and personnel already in place, albeit improvements are always welcome. Let us not forget you all believed Mexico would pay for the WALL so you were fine with the billions being discussed. Not that we have to pay for it, suddenly we are all anti-border.
So before coming back with a biased retort, listen to what I am saying. Any bill that includes detailed Border Security will pass the House and Senate. Any bill with Trump's Wall as THE answer at a cost of billions is just an ego driven demand without actual sense.

Arguably we have shifted from an obsession with having a wall to an obsession with not having any wall anywhere anytime now. Trump's original 25 billion dollar wall is now being dickered as a 5.7 billion dollar wall and that still is not low enough for the dems. Recall that Pelosi said she would not even spend a dollar.
I'm not sure everyone believed Mexico would pay for the wall, but i do believe everyone thought the Trump would get a wall in place, and would have already completed that. Honest people who pay attention know and have always known a wall is just something to con the masses into believing the government is doing something of substance when in fact a wall is the easy part. Real reform comes when laws get enforced and that ain't on the plate.
Well i dont think it was the case that it was brought to a lower amount. That is Trump spinning it to make it seem like he came down from $25billion. It was often pushed as a $5 billion wall that he kept asking for.
And you are right that we are now in a position of extremes with fully funded wall or no wall at all because the top ransk of each party became children fighting over a toy. That is the problem why we have basically Trump demanding a Wall or nothing and Dems looking like they want open borders and no wall.
Neither side started out wanting to sit across a table and come to an agreement because Trump pounded his chest and Chuck/Nancy dug their heels in and federal workers got shafted.
Trump previously offered a deal of 25 billion for the wall in exchange for amnesty for all daca. Most definitely. That deal was kicked around extensively then fell apart and then this watered down deal with less for the wall and less for daca is the latest go-around- that being rejected as well.

OK in 2015 GOP Senators said the Wall estimates are $12 to $15 billion.

So without actual factual justification I am perplexed why some of you are supporting $15 to $20 billion minimum to build a wall which you will pay for (tax cuts plus increased spending = increased deficits), not Mexico as promised, and are OK that Trump has backed all the way down to $5 billion for this Wall that he THEN ADMITS is not really needed since border patrol is handling it, but it would help. $25 billion is a lot for something that helps a little.
I want to hear something factual about the Wall stopping the 50-60% of illegals or higher percentage of drugs that enter through airports and ports of entry rather than drug mules. Also why not just improve existing facilities rather than build a 2000 mile wall that ladders and tunnels are mocking.
This is not an OPEN v. CLOSED border issue, this is a supposed intelligent graduate of Trump University looking to spend billions to address the smallest part of the problem and intelligent voters accepting it without question.

It will all work well as long as her constituents believe that their congressional seat should be used as a platform for her self-promotion and that cow farts in Wisconsin are more important than the gangs in their neighborhood.
