Demo vs Live dispute

Number of people have posted above that demo is unrealistic as it ignores slippage etc..

This is true enough but only really significant if you're trading very short time-frames. So the failings of demo are a moot point for new traders - you shouldn't be trying to make money scalping at all.
agree with you . thanks

Demo fills are unrealistic, in live trading you will have limit orders that are not filled if not enough volume isn't traded at your limit price level. With most demo's you are filled once the price touches your limit level.

In demo there is no slippage, which can eat up quite a big portion of your profits if you are a scalper.

That depends on what you trade and which software, I think.

ES on NT8 is fairly realistic as far as I can tell. Including slippage.

Market makers make monies on the bid and ask spread so, they would take every opportunity to keep it as wide as possible since, they take both sides of any trade. Options traders should be very aware when they buy or sell options. Options can have very wide bid and ask spreads especially, when the market maker is trying to squeeze you into selling or buying at highly unfavorable options prices.

Market makers make trading difficult for retail traders. But they are also responsible for infusing liquidity in the market. It is important to understand how a specific asset is affected when market makers play.
