There was a hung jury in his first case and he skated. No one in their right frigging mind thinks there would have been a hung jury if he were a republican. And the dynamics change too because the Justice Department took the big L and had a vested interest in trying to bag him again.

As an aside, but a relevant aside, I think some of those same dynamics are at play with Hunters gun case. I don't really care or like the gun case because it was/is designed to provide an out for Hunter with a traffic ticket and then contain Hunters and Joes problems by arguing that Hunter has been dealth with. Case closed. But if Hunter is acquitted then that is a big humiliation for the Justice Department and especially for Weiss who is under enormous pressure to redeem himself for attempting a sweetheart deal So that puts a lot of pressure or interest in the DOJ bringing other charges against him. And, as we know, all the other charges involve Joe or allow the prosecution to probe whether they do, and put pressure on the defense to call Joe or his crime family if it is helpful to them. Yeh, I could be okay with Hunter prevailing on that gun case.

Whereas in the Menendez case, the Justice Department did not have any further known charges to bring against him after his first case ended badly for them. Fortunately for them though, Mendendez apparently committed some more.

The White House/DOJ are also trying to bag a major dem or two to dismiss the assertions that they do not go after democrations as a means of containing attempts to go after Joe. They know that you and your ilk will run with that script. And right on schedule you arise to do so.

Nope. Every day reveals more crimes within the Biden Crime Family. And Menendez cannot serve as the slaughtered goat to appease those who want the Crime Family investigated.

Hoping for an acquittal/dismissal for Hunter on the gun charge.

Because the FBI is not doing any real investigation.

The Oversight Committee is/has.

The fruits of that investigation are needed for the election. Any actual trial would not come until after the elections anyway. And that are lots of scenarios that fall short of a crime but need to be revealed to the voting public. There are also lots of scenarios that are obviously crimes on their face and those need to continue to revealed even though the DOJ may do nothing with them. Lots of those.

As usual, the exact opposite of what you say is the truth.

In truth, it is when the democrats are in trouble - but the FBI- does nothing about it or covers for them from inside the FBI/DOJ- that I dislike them the most.

Anyway… Menendez is done. They have the person lying the bribe’s DNA and fingerprints on the money and gold and he can't chair the foreign relations committee under indictment. The only question now is if the democrats can force him to resign. He is the dig in type though and will most likely try to ride this all the way to the end like Santos.

Like Santos, but also as he did before in his previous case.

Menendez truly has a criminal mind. This is not your usual Senator getting a mortgage loan from Country Homes or some kind of flap. This guy got off and skated and beat the odds by a public hair. Instead of saying "thank you Lordy, I will be good" he went right back at it. And to make it even more absurd he served on the jury for a federal judge charged with corruption after his first case. So he is not evenly remotely innocent or naive about how bad a pickle a bad actor can get into. But no, he skated on his first case and then said "giddy-up, let's go again."

Criminal mind.
