Dell guys are great guys, but IT'S NOT working

Ordered it early September.
First box didn't work at all.
I think the guy said the "motherboard was defective".
I returned that one. they sent me another- 4 months ago.
So this one worked 3 months, now crapping out.
One thing for sure, DELL is not going to badmouth Windows 11.
Take that to the bank.

I need to find a solution to this ASAP.
Yes, where can I get a box that will work?

I suggest you get one used from eBay. You can get them with warranty up to 3 years if you like... but Precision workstations are notoriously reliable. If you get one with "30-day return" and it works for 30 days, it will likely work for years beyond that.

If you want, I'll check what's available on eBay and inform you of what I might buy if I were in your shoes...

In Dell "terms"... the current model is T5820... starting around $900. The prior generation, which I have, is T5810... starting around $250.

What is good resource in the U.S. to get a slightly customized tower built.
I'm in southeast Delaware.
I need a computer that will support multiple monitors (without using a USB connection)
DELL is 12,000 miles away.
Is there nobody closer who can build computers ??
I thought we were in the Age of High Tech.

Best buy, Staples, etc

Local IT shops will build whatever you want.
Components will be from Asia (only manufacturers) but they will assemble in front of you.

I had a similar issue with dell. They ultimately replaced with a higher spec PC. This was 8 years ago

The difference in prices is HUGE. When I upgrade my computer system, I buy 4 or 5 machines. Knowing what I know, I would NEVER buy a new computer!! I would always buy used, but quality used. (It's like the difference between buying a used Lexus with 20,000 miles and a new Yugo.... for the same money.)

If you were willing to take my advice, I'd recommend you get a used Dell Precision T5810. It's "one generation back" of current... but there are a bunch of upgrades coming in the next generation... like USB 4.0 and Universal Thunderbold. If you're willing to pay-up to have the newest, greatest, biggest, fastest, etc... wait for the next generation. And a T5810 should last you 3-5 years or more while you wait.

A used T5810 in proper working order will do everything you want, and you won't be able to tell it from "new" except in a few functions... like newer USB, 3.1/3.2 is faster than current USB (3.0)... but you'll be able to get a perfectly functioning machine for 75-80% OFF of the original price. That's my thinking and how I buy computers.

Lemme ask... do you have a max price you want to spend and want me to look near that range? (They all have bells and whistles for extra $$$, but I'm thinking all you need is adequate CPU, 16GB RAM, 512GB or better SSD drive and 4-port video card... right? You may need to buy the computer separate from the video card... not many offered "as is" with proper video card for trading on 4 monitors, you know.)

I use this for trading.
But CD reader is good is good to have.
Good sound card is a plus.
Stay with Windows 10.
