Defining Moment: Colin Powell Endorses Barack Obama

Quote from Dr. Zhivodka:

Please elaborate.

Have you ever heard of the "Powell doctrine" ?

No ? Let me give you a primer.
force should be used as last resort.
but if used, mission must be clearly defined, overwhelming use of force must be applied, exit strategy must be clearly defined.

He is our GREATEST general.
Look at happened in Irak when we didn't listen to his advice (or that of Shinseki)

The number of retards roaming these forum is staggering.

Quote from Dr. Zhivodka:

Why I don't get is why everyone calls him "colon" instead of Colin. It's like the entire country is under some sort of mass hypnosis. Bush started referring to him as colon and the entire country just fell in line.

He refers to himself as Colin. It's very weird. Maybe Alex Jones knows the answer.

Huh ? Sir, I just upgraded you to the enviable rank of "Artard", which basically means a retard's retard. You make no fucking sense whatsoever.

do you really think ACORN is going to make a difference in this election? If so, wh?!! Because ONE guy alleges to have registered 73 times??? Trust me, if that guy was in court he could be impeached 1000 ways. He is very very likely being PAID OFF by right-wing radicals to smear Obama jsut like Joe Plumber alegedly was a plant by the cheaters in the McCain camp! .

WOW, there are some really sellfish, angry, sick whack-jobs in the right-wing that I never realized until I started posting on this message board!

I'll take the right's side on this one - they've got a HUGE issue with Acorn abuse. It's not a just few thousand from what I can see. It may be 10s of thousands of fraudulent registrations across many states.

It's all over right wing radio and it sounds like they've got a real bona fide beef this time. It's gone beyond partican too - the states involved have both Dem and Rep Secretary's of State that are struggling to sort the mess out.

Good grief dude...how about you shutting the fuck up.

Of course I know what he stands for...he's product of Vietnam. I felt really terrible for him that he he got bent over by Rumsfeld and had to slut himself out in front of the UN the way he did.

But the greatest living General...I don't about that. And you don't either. Plus I think I was addressing the duck...not you. Now run along. There are men speaking here,

It's all about trust guys.

How can you trust a person who:

1.- Has never stood against his own party, ever.

2.- In March of last year, Obama stated that he would "aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election" if he won the Democratic primary election.

3.- He voted against the 'surge'. Why would anyone, even if against the war, vote for undeniable defeat?

4.- Two decades sitting under the tutelage of Rev. Jim Wright is not exactly what one would call 'centrist'.

5.- Based on his previous statements one could conclude that the man would feel more confortable sitting down to talk with Chavez(foe) than Uribe(allie).

Powell was part of my chain of command back in the mid 80s. He was my (our) V Corps Commander when I was in Germany. (I was in Mainz... he was in Frankfurt) He made rank very quickly. Goinging from a 2 star to 4 star in just a few years. He earned something like 17 medals.... including Purple Heart.

I guess he reminds me of my younger days :(

Thanks man....appreciate it.

Dr Arsehole. Zhivodka

you sound like you've been stiffed with an ASS plug since middle high.

The Powell doctrine is the overriding Macro military policy of the united States.
If you have another living general in mind , name him or SHUT THE FUCK UP

Bizarre.

1. A country is attacked. The Commander-in-Chief decides to go to war in Country X because his dog's morning crap was pointing in that direction.

Thousand of brave soldiers die, tens of thousand are maimed for life, and a hundred thousand civilians die.

2. Eventually, everyone realizes that there is no rational basis for being at war in that country - the enemy is actually operating in a different part of the world (in this case, Pakistan/Afghanistan). There are calls for an end to 'military operations' in the dog-crap theatre from observers on both the right and the left.

3. The lunatic right starts barking and belching, claiming that a pullout means 'undeniable defeat'. Making the logical strategic decisions take a back seat to 'bringing our troops home with honour and in victory'.

Everyone knows the 'surge' was in fact a process of recruiting and paying (in $USD) fighters who were the enemy a few years ago.

No fucking wonder the Republicans are going to lose this election. An Obama presidency is problematic, no doubt. However, if mainstream Republicans can't stand up and call this for what it is, they deserve to lose.
