D.C. Rally

There are Federal and D.C. laws stating that you are responsible for all crimes that occur when you are engaged with others in the commission of a crime.

Based on these statues which are regularly used in other criminal situations -- all the insurrectionists who invaded Congress should be charged with murder. Murders occurred as they engaged with others to commit federal and local crimes. It is time for prosecutors to start adding charges.
I agree

In this case it doesn't matter, because they came too close to striking the plutocracy, by attacking the proxies, the legislators who make laws tilting the playing field. That dude with his feet up on Pelosi's desk... that could have been in their mansion's visitor's office, or worse, the private office!
No, hit them hard, keep 'em on the street, battling BLM and Antifa with all their fury, all eyes off the 1%.

The FBI on Friday released a new “Most Wanted” poster featuring 10 more people suspected of being part of the violent siege on the Capitol. Four are wearing red “Make America Great Again” hats and one appears to be wearing a hoodie advertising the Jan. 6 protest that turned into a failed insurrection. The FBI said all 10 men “made unlawful entry” into the building. The FBI previously released another three posters featuring 30 accused rioters. At least one man was instantly recognized by his colleagues at New York’s Metropolitan Transport Authority and he was suspended on Friday for calling out sick to attend the riot.

Read it at FBI

Calling in sick to get a day off...

Getting a picture of you trespassing in the Capitol plastered over social media and by the FBI for your boss to see....priceless!

You nailed it. Rioting in the street and burning down private businesses is acceptable. They committed the mortal sin of coming for those in power.

That's my view, and I shock myself at how paranoid it sounds. And yet it makes perfect sense and might be one small expenditure I'd make, too, were I in an old-money billionaire family. After all, Rebekah Mercer was in Trump's office most days of the week for his first six months.

I wonder where that leaves Trump.

Not surprising anyone - Trump's DOD appointees refused to send in the National Guard to quell the insurrection.

Maryland Governor Says Pentagon ‘Repeatedly Denied’ Approval To Send National Guard To Capitol

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan said Thursday that the Department of Defense “repeatedly denied” to authorize deployment of Maryland’s National Guard troops to help quell violence at the Capitol on Wednesday.
  • Hogan said during a press conference that he convened an emergency meeting of his “unified command team” when he was informed of a mob of Trump supporters descending on the Capitol as lawmakers attempted to certify President-elect Joe Biden’s victory.
  • Hogan says he mobilized 200 “specially trained” state troopers and instructed Maj. Gen. Timothy Gowen, the general of the Maryland National Guard, to mobilize his troops.
  • House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called Hogan from an “undisclosed bunker” and were “pleading” with him for assistance from his state and national forces, the governor said.
  • However, Hogan, who requires the Department of Defense’s authority to mobilize his National Guard troops, said he was “repeatedly denied” approval to do so from the Pentagon despite being “ready, willing and able” to assist.
  • Hogan said he had a “back and forth trying to get that authorization” and that, about an hour and a half later, Secretary of the Army Ryan McCarthy gave approval to send his troops to Washington, D.C.
  • Forbes has reached out to the Department of Defense for comment.
Key Background
Federal authorities were not guarding the Capitol at the time of the attack, leaving the job to the Capitol Police, who were quickly overrun by the mob.

Chief Critic
President Trump reportedly refused initial requests to send in the National Guard, with Vice President Mike Pence ultimately interfacing with Defense Department officials and giving the order to mobilize units.

Surprising Fact
Hogan, a Republican, called for President Trump’s removal in the wake of the attack. "I think there's no question that America would be better off if the president would resign or be removed from office,” he said.
