NYC lockdown seems to have been stricter than anything in Florida. Florida seems to have the first proper wave only now.

Bad logic, is not more logical that the lockdown in NYC was too late to be effective? And in Florida it was early enough to keep the numbers down but unless you 100% remove it which isn't really possible the it'll get around as it's doing?

NYC is a good example first state to get it and peak, Sweden good example as no lockdown, Sweden look the same on the charts, so did the late lockdown in NYC acheive anything? I say no!

Do you think NYC will run again and we'll get from 0.17% to 4.8% WHO are claiming?

Not a hoax over reaction created by the media to get more views, you don't screw up the entire world put millions out of work, scare kids and ruin there schooling over a measly 0.1% mortality rate.

There are those that worry about dying and those that worry about the huge damage done to the 99.9% which will survive.

Tsk tsk tsk @Turveyd, here you go spinning stories again. Where are the "millions dying homeless" facts from? Ah, never mind, it's just your dramatic spin.

Economic cycles are a thing, this was as good a catalyst as any. People didn't save at all and spent as much as they earned, this is a lesson for them and they should learn from it. Most sensible people have savings and are doing absolutely fine. Going by your "my mate" stories, I don't know anyone who's in serious trouble. Most are surviving just fine.

I think we should collect people like yourself and make you work as forced labor in the ICU Covid wards handling the patients. That would be a win/win.
