Youre more likely to get called if you are a regular voter. You’ll notice during election time there are two types of polls, registered voters and likely voters. Likely voter polls are more reliable. I get called by my congressman’s polling pretty often year round, his polling called a while ago about the tax bill.
The survey you cited is skewed because there are more registered democrats than republicans and they were looking at raw numbers. This is why democrats have a statistical advantage in every educational level in the survey. It isn’t reflective of voters, it’s reflective of party affiliation.
every poll I have every looked at which revealed the data shows the dems dominate in the high school or lower category. However, many of the polls bury that info.
it would take a very skewed poll to change that reality.
No. Again, what you have shown is a survey based on party identification and because democrats outnumber republicans they have an advantage in every education level. This has already been discussed. You and Tom have been provided with numerous sources showing voters of the lowest education chose republicans in the most recent election.
It did used to be true that lower educated, blue collar workers tended to vote democrat and college degree tended to vote republican but that has not been true for almost a decade.

So now you are switching to the total numbers argument, can you stick to one? Why did you look at just top 10 counties, it lists 97 counties in total that are red.
There are more people in Los Angeles county than 45+ states, that's why we talk in terms of percentages. If red counties and states are so great with their fiscal management, why do their finances and living conditions suck so much.

it was a pew survey and they found those with high school or less overwhelmingly were democrats. It was not tilted because there were more democrats in the survey... the found that because that is how the parties break down in America.
which is no different that what the Wash Post found here in 2006.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/interactives/independents/data-year-by-year.html
and it was no different in 2015...
Democrats hold a 10-point lead in leaned party identification among those with no more than a high school education (47% to 37%).

So basically you were wrong...
you can't just hope that the under educated vote republican....you have to check the data.
For decades the data has always shown those with high school education and less vote overwhelmingly democrat.. unless donald trump or ronald reagan run promising them jobs and a better economy. In which case the working poor switch to some degree and educational level and income are pretty strongly correlated.
your 538 blog is about Trump. We know trump won a ton of democrats. That does not change the fact that democrats dominate those with high school or less education.
If you want to discuss this further... bring out the surveys.... as I have.
Finally, if you go to the areas hiillary won. those area are either rich people, many of whom live off the govt or poor and many uneducated people where English is a second language. I am not saying they are dumb... but I am telling you they have less education.
Those are the facts.
I don’t care who votes for who or what. The so called less educated are often people with trade skills like electricians and plumbers.
But, I got to tell you, you are being dense. How can democrats be ahead in every educational level in the survey you cite?
And, we are not talking about party affiliation, we are talking about voters.
I told you... the stealth vote can explain some of it. and the fact there are a lot of people who claim they are democrats but don't vote or don't have a right to vote.
you are not accepting facts and ideas that do not fit your lefty weltanschauung.
you need to compare your beliefs to reality before you post.
don't forget where hillary got the massive votes... look at the very geographically limited blue areas with massive votes for hillary. How do you think those educational levels stack up?
L.A unified and the bronx and parts of brooklyn, inner chicago, very south texas, south florida... you know Hillary country.
Ok. So we are in an area where you are misinterpreting data and telling me it’s my fault for not following your faulty understanding. You also rely on what you see on tv, that democrat voters are mainly inner city types. I assure you, you are wrong and your data is wrong.
I don’t care who voted for whom. If you want to live in Lala land and believe in things that aren’t true then that is where you are and what you do.
Tom B.’s original statement to the effect of, the poorest, least educated people vote democrat is only half true. The least educated people voted Republican in the last presidential election.
