Correct.
"recent" being the operative word.
They held out as long as they could and nothing short of the governors own staff turning on him forces them to be critical.
But in ideal world where they were a legit news organization they would not be the last ones on the block to get there. Other than the obligatory low level of attention that pretended that it was a real issue for them. It was not. Now they have dems pissed about it too. So that is the definition of a story for them.

Let’s not forget all the accolades and awards the left wing media heaped on Cuomo all while he was murdering thousands of helpless elderly Americans
The unintended irony and consequences of this New York situation is that the powers that be in New York have made careers out of declaring that they only existed to go after Trump if he were not indicted or prosecuted. The last two New York AG's- which includes the current one- made the New York AG's office a walking-talking "Get Trump" machine. The first AG to do that bit the dust and had to slide out the back door after molesting women on the job, so he went down in a ball of flames. The current one picked up where he left off but the dynamics have changed. Trump is not in office and people are wondering "why the hell are we spending state AG resources with Trump being the major target when the people are pissed at Andrew Cuomo?" You know- with these AG's- it is all about finding a high profile target to advance their own career. Voila, Cuomo has now become the replacement target.
And Bill DeCrockio? He is term limited from being mayor again, and Cuomo hates his guts so he is not going to be appointed to a state position as long as Cuomo is in power. But if he sides with and backs (which he already is) one of Cuomo's challengers he can keep his political career in NY alive by getting some kind of plum appointment under the next governor.
Nope. Not a good time for the New York AG to come out and announce again that the entire AG's Office is now focused on just getting Trump. Not the way Cuomo wanted the script to go.
Once again, I am nominating Elise Stefanik as Man of the Year. She will not be elected Governor but she can do some damage in speaking out against Cuomo. There is a lot of chromosome damage and gene pool weakening among the dems there in New York so it is unfortunate that you have to elect a woman for man of the year. Same situation in Canada. Man of the Year should be Michelle Rempel, the MP from Alberta. Canada also has a soy boy problem bigtime.
Quick question for Andrew Cuomo: Havin fun yet Asswipe? You and your brother gonna be able to laugh this off as you did after you created the covid death camps?
