As I said, there's always hope for you guys that it's true. I can't wait for the Weekly World News to publish that Cruz is really from Mars, not Canada.

I get that. I know why guys who are not that good looking, work their asses off for power and money or fame...
but...

I care... for 3 reasons...

1. I would not want others to gain leverage over a politician because of their private actions.

2. Also, if a candidate holds themselves up as something, they are rightfully judged accordingly.

3. Misleading on this, misleading in other ways.
 
At the very least it shows a serious slack of judgment to run a campaign based on appealing to Evangelicals when this is in your closet. And to assail Trump for his NY values. In truth, Trump does have NY values and we are all uncomfortable about that, but WTF was Cruz thinking about going there with this hanging over his head. His wife never looked all that enthusiastic either. She maybe had the good sense to see that he was on a kamikazie mission.
 
The article linked earlier made the point that NE, no stranger to libel actions, would not have printed the pics of the women, even partially blacked out, unless they had pretty solid evidence. Cruz is a public figure and they can slander him on the basis of second hand gossip and get away with it. Private citizens however could destroy them. See Hogan, Hulk.
