So I agree we should teach the whole truth in history. But critical race theory attempts to answer questions like how did towns end up segregated or why are black owned neighborhoods undervalued. Usually these questions take a longitudinal review of successive laws and policies at the local, state and federal level.
I suggest a book titled ‘The color of Law’, in there you will get a detailed view of how critical race theory applies to various cities housing policies and effects that had on economic circumstances and educational opportunities of minorities. It’s very complicated.
That's not what Critical Race Theory attempts to do, Stop misrepresenting it.
We have successfully taught full history including the racism, discrimination, the Civil Rights movement, and the lasting stain of negative parts of our history for decades --- without invoking Critical Race Theory.
