Credir card debt --staggering

Answer my question loser. Do you also think it's McDonald's fault for "making people fat?"

You sound like a professional victim. Get a clue: you make your own destiny.

And nobody forced lenders to lend. They shotgun out mass loan applications and never bother to check if any of them actually have the ability to pay.

We need creditor's prisons and a sense of corporate responsibility in this country.

Fuq the moneylenders.

And fuq you for chopping up my post to meet your corporate asskissing agenda.

Totally agree. Nobody put a gun to the head of a consumer and "forced him to charge".

Consumers are 100% at fault here. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a DUMBASS!

No, you're not getting my point. Life is what you make of it. Nobody is entitled to anything.

Where baby boomers really screwed up is in raising your generation with a sense of entitlement... a trophy and praise for everyone, regardless of pereformance. And now you're finding out that the real world doesn't work that way.

That "someone who makes $8 an hour" was probably more concerned with sports or their social life in school than academics and is now reaping what they sowed. Everyone's not entitled to own a house and everyone's not entitled to luxuries. You have to earn them.

Obama isn't the key to your future, you are.
Quote from Sandybestdog:

Your obviously not getting my point. Why do you people always give the “work harder” answer to everything. How is someone starting out now ever able to save enough to put down 20% on a 200 or 300k mortgage? By the time you save 50k, the house will go up another 100k, and then you’ll have to save even more.

How is someone who makes $8 an hour ever able to afford anything beyond a 1 bedroom shack and Cup O’Noodles? If they work 40-50 hours a week, are they not working hard? Oh I forgot, they’re the scum of the earth working low wage jobs. They deserve to live in poverty because they’re not educated. If you worked 2 jobs just to pay the bills, don’t you think you would think you’re “entitled” to a few luxuries?

Tell the person who racked up the credit cards to pay for outrageous medical expenses that they should work harder. Tell the person paying hundreds a month on health insurance, they should work harder. Tell the student who just graduated with 50 or 100k in student loans to work harder.

The baby boomers who taut this “you don’t work hard enough” crap did relatively little to deserve their wealth. They were blessed with good paying jobs before corporations shipped every job to Mexico and the government shipped Mexican’s to take the rest of our jobs here. They rode the inflation boom since the late 70’s when the Dow was at 500 and a 5,000 square foot home was $50,000. And they will get their social security and pension checks that are paid for by my generation through taxes that I will never benefit from, and inflation that I pay for through higher prices.

So now maybe you’ll rethink why people hit up the credit cards. Bring down the cost of living and you’ll bring down debt. Bring back good, productive jobs, and you’ll bring down debt. Otherwise we will never fix the root of the problem.

And you guys wonder why people voted for Obama. You tell them to work harder, he gave them hope, or at least the illusion of it.

You can continue to spew your crap, and people will continue to vote Democrat. When you tell someone who works 2 jobs and 50 hours a week that they didn’t work hard enough, you aren’t going to accomplish anything. They will vote for the person who will give them what they thought they deserved by working hard. The rich will turn America socialist, not the poor. They have no one to blame, but themselves. Remember what your parents told you when you were a kid, “work hard and follow the rules, and you can accomplish anything.” Not valid anymore.

Most people decades ago never went to college, yet they made a good living. Now, more people are graduating from college than ever before, yet average wages are falling. Care to explain that? More college graduates than ever before = lower wages?

There aren’t enough of your kind of jobs for everybody. Not everbody can be an engineer or computer programmer. Somebody has to flip the burgers, somebody has to be the cashier.

BTW I didn’t vote for Obama, but I’m glad he won. Republicans brought this on themselves. Do you think if everybody had a good job and decent standard of living Obama would have one? No, McCain would have one by a landslide. Let this be a lesson to you.

A lesson to me? ROTFLMAO!!! You're the one with the sense of entitlement, you're the one with the victim's mentality, and you're the one who's unsatisfied with their situation.

Grow up and take responsibility for your own life and your own situation or you'll always be a bitter loser.

You're the jagoff telling people what they think, calling people losers and victims. Search your handle with keywords loser and victim, you seem to have made quite a pastime out of it. It makes people respect you so much, keep up the good work.

I never said I was entitled to anything. I said people who work hard and live in poverty don’t want to hear from you that they didn’t work hard enough. They will just vote Democrat because they don’t understand why their working their ass off and can’t get ahead.

How am I supposed to get ahead in life then? Go to college? That costs anywhere between 10-30k a year. How am supposed to afford that making $10 an hour? I have to take out a loan. Oh wait a minute, that’s what this thread is all about. People having instant gratification for what they want now. So people shouldn’t go to college if they have to take out a loan?

This is your logic. People who work low wage jobs deserve to live in poverty. So to get ahead they should work even harder, presumably by going to college. This is obviously not affordable, so they have to take out loans, which you say they are giving into instant gratification. Your solution to the problem is the problem itself. Got any more bright idea’s?

Fact now is, either live under poverty with your leader OBAMA in charge, or break away and return to pure capitalism. The first is the easy and a safe way to live, the second is scary, takes balls and is a hard way to live.

Most who live poor, work hard. That is the plan of people like OBAMA. Poverty keeps you in chains. Hate the rich so you will not want to be like the rich. Do not take the risk, have no balls, be very scared of success and wealth.

Hate those who took risk to build wealth. Create jelious feelings and not competitive.

The Liberal Democrates thrive on poverty, keeping people poor. The want you to believe that "Social Programs" help and they push medocracy so the "Poor" will not try and break free.

90% of the country, poor to middle class fall in to the "poverty" chains and comfortable way of "BLAME".

You have a huge sense of entitlement... your words reek of it. Just read your own whining about getting ahead as if it's someone else's responsibility to get you ahead.

How about getting off your ass and researching careers that pay well and are a good fit? Then work your way through an affordable state school and/or take out student loans. Or join the military and get them to pay for it. Or start a business. There are lots of ways but if you stay in your current situation you have nobody to blame but yourself.

Sorry to break it to you but in real life they don't give out trophies to everyone just for showing up. Stomping your feet and throwing a fit won't change that.
