CQG vs. Thinkorswim data feed accuracy

Not sure why that issue would exist for you. I can pull up a future chart in both MT5 and NT (ZN for example) and the dataprints are identical between the two with CQG datafeed.

As for MT5 displaying only the current contract period? Not sure why that issue is happening to you either. I just choose the future contract month I wish to see and poof, there it is.

(01:27:57 AM) *****: What is the last you have right now on MT5?
(01:28:00 AM) *****: for TYAM8
(01:28:15 AM) *****: 121.187500?
(01:28:25 AM) Justin: yes
(01:28:32 AM) *****: and TV right now?
(01:28:42 AM) Justin: 055
(01:28:57 AM) *****: MT5 has a different way
(01:29:02 AM) *****: of displaying the prices
(01:29:14 AM) *****: hang on
(01:29:23 AM) Justin: doesn't make sense...
(01:29:49 AM) *****: It does not display in the normal format
(01:29:54 AM) *****: its a bit different
(01:30:16 AM) Justin: So, do you mean MT5 is flawed platform?
(01:30:20 AM) *****: its not flawed
(01:30:29 AM) *****: its meaning that it does not display the tick increment
(01:30:39 AM) *****: with the traditional way that ten year ticks
(01:30:52 AM) *****: because its a forex platform its calculating it differently
(01:30:53 AM) *****: hang on
(01:31:07 AM) Justin: unbelievable....
(01:31:26 AM) *****: its actually correct but just displaying in a different format
(01:31:55 AM) Justin: So, TV is accurate?
(01:32:13 AM) *****: TV is showing it in 1/64th
(01:32:15 AM) Justin: The problem is when I put SL and TP, I use the numbers shown in MT5
(01:32:19 AM) *****: which is the common format
(01:32:33 AM) *****: but MT5 shows the tick size as .015625 instead
(01:32:38 AM) *****: that is the formula used
(01:32:40 AM) *****: in MT5
(01:33:10 AM) *****: You will notice the same thing with USAM8 symbol
(01:33:15 AM) *****: try an experiment for me
(01:33:19 AM) *****: pull up USAM8
(01:33:21 AM) *****: on both platforms
(01:33:25 AM) Justin: Ok, let's make it simple. The numbers shown in TV is same as the ones shown in Ninja Trader or TradeStation or Thinkorswim?
(01:33:25 AM) *****: and let me know if you see the same thing.
(01:33:30 AM) *****: Correct
(01:33:44 AM) *****: TV is going to display the more traditional way of how the tick size is displayed
(01:34:05 AM) Justin: Ok, it sounds to me MT5 is crap
(01:34:06 AM) *****: where with MT5 because traditionally forex platform it displays its differently
(01:34:16 AM) *****: not so much that its just a different platform
(01:34:24 AM) *****: not traditionally a futures platform
(01:34:34 AM) *****: Try the test for me if you can
(01:34:38 AM) *****: with the USAM8
(01:34:43 AM) *****: let me know if you see the same thing.
(01:34:51 AM) Justin: Ok, that's enough. I will use TV.
(01:34:59 AM) Justin: Thank your time anyway.
(01:35:01 AM) *****: just for me if you can test
(01:35:04 AM) *****: just so i know
(01:35:05 AM) *****: for myself
(01:35:11 AM) Justin: Sure, have a good day
(01:35:12 AM) *****: so i can report to MT5
(01:35:13 AM) Justin: Bye
(01:35:17 AM) *****: can you test first before you leave?
(01:35:19 AM) *****: and tell me now
(01:35:20 AM) *****: so i know
(01:35:24 AM) *****: so i can send a report to MT5
(01:35:30 AM) Justin: No, that's ok.
(01:35:33 AM) *****: just pull up both symbols on both platforms
(01:35:36 AM) *****: and let me know if you see the same thing
(01:35:45 AM) Justin: Metaquote is hopeless crap company
(01:35:49 AM) Justin: I don't care
(01:36:05 AM) *****: ok no problem
(01:36:07 AM) *****: Have a good day.
(01:36:08 AM) Justin: Bye
(01:37:23 AM) *****: Just for reference so you know i figured it out
(01:37:37 AM) *****: TV shows the fractional value and MT5 shows the decimal value of the tick size
(01:37:41 AM) *****: that is the difference

It isn't a datafeed problem. It's a silly kinniget problem. The exchange defines the instrument. So define your instrument as the exchange defines it. There is a reason any reasonable platform allows you to adjust those parameters.

Only CQG chart is different from others. Am I being too picky? I'd like to avoid CQG charts at all.... See Gold 60M charts from various sources and comment from CQG team.
