CPRX

Just say it. Lol
I recognize that it may be extended which is why I bought small. I’m going to try to be patient with this one. May add, on a pullback. Longer time frame than usual, which I’ve been thinking fits my personality better, anyway, I may end up drifting towards more position trades going forward.

Such an opportunity comes once (or perhaps just a few times) in a life time.

So if you miss such an opportunity, don't chase after the boat.
ie not wise to buy it right now.
wait for the next boat which might come a decade later.

I like the way the pullback after a big gain was very shallow and quickly found support on pretty impressive volume
It kind of looks to me like you are buying stocks then finding reasons to have bought them, rather than having reasons and buying stocks when they meet you criteria.

The stocks that are being recommended to you seem to have already had their run. Scanning for new highs would have alerted you to this stock in mid July. Of course you would have waited for a pullback. :)

no actually it was on the watchlist that I was monitoring. I noticed the very shallow pullback and subsequent bounce today, which is what prompted me to buy it. I also looked at the fundamentals /growth rates, before making the decision
So I respectfully disagree with your assesment,

Yeah I got bitchslapped. Thanks so much for your sympathy lol.

not running away from this so fast. It’s not even 10Am
In hindsight, I should’ve done a buy with a simultaneous covered call. But whatever

shake head in despair.

I started trading when I had to plot the chart using the
calculator and graph paper. that was 4 decades ago.
I have learned that if you missed the boat, don't ever ever chase after it.

I guess you will take many many decades to learn not to chase after the boat
which you had missed.
Wait for another boat which might come a few years later.
(see my earlier posting).

Meanwhile, I am 1000% sure if you missed the boat,
you will continue to
add on to your position and
add on to your position and
add on to your position and ....

Human behavior is very predictable.

anyway, don't listen to me because you will not listen to me.

GOOD LUCK !!!

i know the golden rule is don’t add to a losing position. I think I bought the right stock, using a really bad entry point. I’ll add one more time if it gets to the 20 day (about a point lower) then bounces off it.

I have to admit, your post made my laugh out loud.
Thanks for the constructive criticism and not so subtle attack (which I really don’t mind, I do take it constructively, and seriously.
I learn from my mistakes, and will add a rule to my list

pS I did buy EVH at the same time, at $35.62, so that is easing the pain (so far)
