no, you are claiming illegals get benefits like social security and food stamps. They can't get them legally. If the get it fraudulently, then anybody could get it fraudulently whether they are legal or illegal.

Hey, it's the way of the leftist. Got the president on camera saying you can keep your insurance, your own doctor...they ignore it. They say that's not what he meant. Let's see if I can break this down in a simple manner so it's easy to understand.
We talked about the border, and the Libertarian position about how the border should be open - but a key ingredient in this viewpoint is that all benefits to illegals should be shut off to prevent a mass incursion of more immigrants. The argument was that illegals are coming here for the bennies.
Of course illegals can't legally get benefits. There is no benefit system that declares it is open for illegals and citizens as well. Duh. That means that illegals have to get these benefits illegally. Another duh.
But they can. Many benefit systems have little or no fraud control, poor auditing and almost no controls, allowing any number of illegal practices with delve out benefits and then - even if they discover they have done so incorrectly - allow for no retraction or prosecution. Illegals know this - don't kid yourself. If they show up at the hospital ER sick, they'll get treated, for free. They send their children to school - for free. They don't pay taxes. "Oh, but they pay real estate taxes!" you'll say. You're not kidding anyone. They rent from someone who DOES pay RE taxes, and they pack the house full of a few families. They get food stamps - again, illegally. They have all sorts of systems to get around the system. States like California offers illegals things like driver's licenses and other expanded rights. They work under the table jobs and get paid cash, no paying of income taxes. "Oh, but they pay sales tax!" Yes, they probably do (which is a bigger argument for a national sales tax in lieu of an income tax, but that's another discussion) but many immigrant communities (illegal especially) are big on barter. Ever go to a farmer's market? We have one near where I live. It's a cash market - no record of anything and the produce and meats are straight from the farm. The guy who sells the strawberries is an illegal. His wife told mine that they work the stand for free on weekends, farm during the day during the week and take home food and cash as payment.
The word is out - the illegals coming across the border know all of this. That's why they come here.

I'll acknowledge that. A job really isn't a freebie is it? Working under the table in your Uncles restaurant isn't really a freebie is it? Why is it food stamp fraud in Arizona is an illegal alien problem, but food stamp fraud in Chicago is a legal black citizen problem? Don't lecture me on what a libertarian is if you are not going to vote a straight libertarian ticket in November. I'm pretty sure I agree with everything the libertarian party stands for, but I have my own ideas which are certainly not libertarian, and some would call leftist. I don't need some one who just goes to a website and reads and then pontificates on who is a libertarian and who is not. You can judge all you want. I vote. I true libertarian does not just talk, he is the one who votes. So why don't you just move on and vote (if you even do) for that tired old dying republican party. Like the OP said, they are all just cowards.

Though a Libertarian/Darwinist at heart, I'll be voting the Republican ticket. Not because I endorse their platform but because the DemoCrap/Commie juggernaut needs to be stopped... that is if you care about America's future.
