I vowed a long time ago that I would never again try to educate a racist. If Mark Twain couldn't do it, I certainly can't. Racism is a form of stupidity and there is no curing it. Best hope is to let them die off and hope they don't reproduce.

The only thing worse than racism is a liberal democrat who plays the race card at a political poker game. At least the racist has the excuse that he is stupid. The liberal democrat is intelligent and plays it cold hearted to bluff his weak hand.

I'm a libertarian. We believe the Mexican border should be open. We like the free flow of goods. We like the free flow of labor. 40% are liberals. Always have been since the beginning of time. There is no curing them. It's just human nature. But you republicans are just an old dying breed. Every year more and more of you die from old age. Good riddance, your party is not even conservative anymore, if it ever was.

Why don't you state the whole Libertarian position? If you want to be a true Libertarian, you left out the most important piece of the argument (which you don't believe in, and that just makes you a Libertarian wanna be).

The most important piece of the Libertarian position is that they believe if you remove all of the welfare and stop allowing illegal aliens the support of the welfare state, they will stop coming over here in droves in the first place. But you want to give everyone - regardless of income - food stamps.

Charity is good and many of us believe it to be one of the most noble characteristics. But many of us also believe that socialism and communism are not charity and don't work.

a libertarian doesn't have to believe that the government is worthless and should be eliminated. Like the man said, "If you believe government is bad you will create a bad government." For crying out loud, we are the United States of America, the best damn country that's ever been invented. We have less natural resources than India, and are only 3 and half million strong. Yet. we rule the world, both economically and militarily. There should be no debate that we are exceptional. So there is absolutely no reason we can't create the best government ever known to man.

Those of us that are libertarians just believe that the individual is more important than the group. The individuals rights and happiness and freedom should trump the governments happiness. But a good government is our responsibility. No different than a man who screws a woman and gets her pregnant. That child is now his responsibility. And he should raise it to be a good child, not a spoiled brat like the government we have now.

I don't know if this poster is really a libertarian or just trolling, but I give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he is serious.

So I offer him as yet another example of why libertarianism is not a viable philosophy of governing. Like pacificism, it strings together some admirable sentiments, yet leaves the dirty work for others to do.
