Yes, that is exactly correct. Here is the science in brief. It's a known theory called Antigenic Fixation or OAS (Original Antigenic Sin). It can also happen with naturally acquired antibodies.
The mRNA shot injects ONLY ONE spike protein out of 13 possible spike proteins and NO nucleocapsid proteins. THEREFORE, you can only develop anti-bodies to the single spike protein. Unfortunately, viruses mutate and they will mutate around a barrier (evasion). However, the body prefers by a great margin to throw out antibodies from it's library rather than wait and laboriously create them anew.
So, it will recognize new virus and reply ONLY with the useless antibodies to the no longer existent spike protein.
(An unvaccinated, prior infected person will have full immunity to all 13 spikes AND to nucleocapsid proteins from BOTH antibodies and T-Cells. Their library has a far more robust response. They will never know the virus entered their system to quickly die. THAT's called immunity.)
The vaccinated person will therefore be unable to mount any legitimate immune response. That is why people keep saying idiot things like this:
"I just got Covid for the 3rd time and it was awful. Good thing I was triple vaxxed or it would have been worse!"

Yeah, I looked it up. And the problem is the same for the vaxxed and unvaxxed alike. If you were unvaccinated and caught the original strain two yours ago, your body produced an antibody for that specific variant's spike protein. So now the natural immunity to the original strain produces the same "repertoire freeze" effect that occurs. So when a new variant comes around, they have just as much chance of getting terribly ill as the vaxxed person.

You seriously trying to say that is the same outcome, cuz - that's not the theory, nor is it the current outcomes.
I am just going by what my quick and cursory search about this OAS found...

This would apply to both vaxxed and unvaxxed peeps equally.
It would apply equally IF vaxxed and unvaxxed immunities were equivalent. They are NOT equivalent as explained above. To repeat - nat immunity has antigens to 13 spike proteins and the nucleocapsid. The vax contained only a single spike protein and thus has antigens ONLY to that spike protein. As a trader, can you get the difference between 13 and1? They are different. The nucleocapsid is different, too and mutates much more slowly.
Therefore, nat. immunity provides immunity even if the 13th spike protein mutates, whereas vax immunity does NOT. Don't know why you can't get that these two forms of protection are quite different, but it's right there in the mRNA vax theory.
tldr: mRNA vax antigens are dramatically narrower than natural immunity. You seem unable to see this fundamental concept in the explanation because you refuse to address it.
