If I cannot provide the name of the beach, it is not pure nonsense. You may not believe it based on the fact that I cannot provide the name of the beach, but that doesn't mean there can't be an alternative explanation. You do this a lot.

Perhaps the person posting doesn't reply to the question of where this occurred at?

Is it a possible fabrication? This is certainly possible if the person does not share the information. But it could also be that they do not see the question posed on Twitter.

NYC beaches and pools are closed for the season in regards to going into the water because they DID NOT HIRE LIFEGUARDS for the season -- which is required to open the pools and beaches within NYC. Let's look at the actual statements from the mayor's office.

And you should keep in mind that NYC had a short season this summer when both beaches and pools were opened for swimming - as demonstrated by the article. "The city's beaches closed to swimming at 6 p.m. and pools closed at 7 p.m. on Monday, Labor Day, for the season even though they opened late due to the pandemic."

So you are pushing a claim that NYC beaches were closed for swimming all of 2020 due to COVID - which simply isn't true. Likewise the city has documented the closing of the beaches on Labor Day is due to lack of lifeguards and staff.

The NYC beaches had opened on July 1st but were still limited due to lifeguard shortages.
