What is unscientific is to let a bunch of pharmaceuticals rewrite decade long going practices dictated by proven regulation how medical trials are to be conducted. The same entities that could not care less how you or I do, health wise, but who are utterly and completely accountable to their shareholders and nobody else. It would be stupid and unscientific if we did not demand answers for some very pressing questions: what's in the vaccine, how exactly have each and every trial patient responded to the vaccine, which side effects were discovered, which shortcuts where taken precisely at which juncture. You can feel free to swallow whatever someone gives you. That is unscientific not the inquisitive mind. I never suggested that I would not take the vaccine but I am perhaps a lot less naive than you seem to be.

That medication was especially for pregnant women.
If you develop a bad medicine for people who have cancer, it can be dangerous for them. Not for people with heart problems as they don't take that medication. Logical thinking.

Okie, dokie, why don't we wait 5 years before we release the vaccine? Should it make it to 10 just to be on the safe side? Just where do you draw the line where you start to feel safe with the vaccine? Oh you don't have an answer.
Do you get my point? In a pandemic we don't have the luxury of time. But if you want to wait, fine by me. So far nobody forces the vaccine on you.
Not to mention a dead costumer doesn't buy more drugs, so it is in the drug industry's best interest to keep you alive.
Going back to Baron's original question, we still have 2 super spreader events to go through, although if we infect grandma at Thanksgiving we may learn a lesson by Christmas just the time of the funeral.

I prefer for vaccination the Astra Zeneca-Oxford University vaccine. It has more certainty about the effect on long term than the 2 others. That's what worries most doctors, the long term effects are unknown for Pfizer and Moderna.
The Astra Zeneca-Oxford University vaccine AZD1222 is a vector vaccine. An antigen from the coronavirus "lifts" along with a "viral vector". In this case, it is a weakened version of a cold virus that occurs in chimpanzees. Vector vaccines have been used to fight viruses for some time.
The vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna, on the other hand, are RNA vaccines: based on a new technique whose long-term effects are unknown. The high efficiency of 95 percent proves that they work well.
Another important advantage: AstraZeneca's candidate vaccine is inexpensive compared to the other two contenders. For example, AZD1222 would cost only 2.9 euros compared to 33 euros at Pfizer (for two injections) and about 60 euros (two injections) at Moderna.

No I don't get your point. I did not say wait and if wait not 5 years. I said we should ask more questions. Still hearing of a bunch of covid cases around here, although less than a few weeks back, but nothing bad. Everything still open, the perimetral confinements of some neighborhoods , with everything still open within those, still sees no enforcement.
If we could get rid of the damn masks, at least for compulsory use especially outdoor, and travel around as it used to be, life would be pretty much normal.
Glad to notice today after several months exhibiting an empty hall so the people, particularly accompanying parents, wouldn´t hang out there, the indoor skate/trampoline park my kids go to has set up again a whole bunch of sofas and low tables. More sports competitions are also popping up, although mostly unofficially and behind closed doors - still sucks huge for pro fighters, as it´s still dead for them - and they don´t receive any help package linked to their job afaik.
Legal nightlife still dead here as well, no idea about underground nightlife.
