Pass some of the blame onto their parents. They were raised that way.

We went from ask not what you country can do for you...
To - ask what congress can do for us in exchange for inflation and taxes on the other person.
The politicians changed their pitch and the boomers voted for it.
Reagan tried to change it back but the politicians sold out to the bankers again.
Now with Trump those who work for a living tried to change it by voting for the least political candidate in the bunch the least PC president ever... but Trump does not seem to be winning.
Our liberty and rugged individualism is circling the drain and our politicians, the deep state and the leftist/crony forces have gone all in for a second flush.

What happened was the Warren Supreme Court. We the People voted for sensible candidates who enacted sensible laws, only to see an over-reaching judiciary invalidate them and invent out of whole cloth ridiculous "rights" that could never be democratically enacted.
Then the democrat/media mafia managed to lynch Richard Nixon over a bunch of minor crap, thus forever turning national politics into a banana republic game of criminalizing policy differences. We see them attempting the same treasonous ploy with Trump but, for now, he has enough red-pilled supporters that they are blocked.
