Coronavirus: Bill Gates calls for 10 more weeks of lockdown

It's very easy for billionaires (and multi millionaires) to advocate social distancing. Not so easy for the single mom cutting hair, or the local diner owner.

Bill Gates have failed the American people. I wanted to post this in a separate thread, but this will do.

So why do I say that? Bill is an epidemic expert. He is intelligent and he has shitload of money. He correctly predicted back in 2015 in a TED talk that we are not ready for a virus like this.
Then back in last October they did a simulation what would happen if a virus like this comes, and the result was that yes, we are not ready, the virus won.

So what does Bill do when he hears about the Wuhan outbreak 2 months later? Big fucking nothing. What does Bill do when in January IN HIS BACKYARD, Seattle we have the first cases? Even bigger fucking nothing.

Now let's be proactive here and this is what he could have done, as opposed to Average Joe, without his money and name recognition, but with the same foresight:

1. He could have called governors and the Prez and told them that the shit is coming. Would they have acted on it? The Prez wouldn't for sure, but maybe some governor could have started to order ventilators and stuff. Hey, even if just one governor listened to him, that would be a win and saved lives.

2. He could have taken out full page ads in major news papers calling out for the danger.

3. He could have hired a few experts and made them write a How to do pfd file/book and put it up on the internet. A guideline by the experts for the common people and also for leaders.

4. He could have bought up ventilators, make or started companies that make those.

5. He could have made a Virus Youtube channel with all kind of useful and relevant info. (how to wash your hands,etc.)

6. He could have thrown a few millions at the top 10 research labs as long as they start research on the virus immediately.

Did he do any of those? Nope.

Bill, you have failed America... He wasted 2 months, not raising awareness, research and supplements. I am not saying all of those would have made a difference, but some sure would.

How do you know that he didn't? Washington state, where Bill Gates resides, took the corona very seriously early on and, as a result, came out much better than other states. I would think this was done in part because of people like Gates.

Washington isn't doing better, just at a later state and lockdowns earlier in there infection rate, slowing them down a bit or just not as dense population. 7-10days to get to where NYC was at the worst.

Sweden, allowing for the numbers difference is doing fine and its 1 week ahead of the UK and peaked 80% likely, with no lock downs and there chart looks the same, so lockdowns have near zero effect other than driving everyone crazy, losing there jobs and requiring trillions in stimulus ofcourse.

Chill it's like the Flu we all get it, most don't know we've had it and it'll soon stop infecting anyone cause we'll all have it.

India not locking down ?? no crazy growth there either.

p.s. Beaches safest place to be, cause the wind blows the virus away, not that safety is a real issue unless your pretty much dead already, but some seem to think it is.

It has clearly been shown that lockdown will slow the spread in a few weeks time. We're now finally starting to see Italy come out of it. Spain doing better as well.

Lockdowns are the only reason that the entire USA doesn't become like NYC.
