Corona death rate in US worse than Iran's

brb, flying to Iran for better healthcare.
Yes the numbers are early & misleading
No I don't expect the numbers to remain the same, so this thread will become a critique of our healthcare response & infrastructure & how it compares to other countries.

Yes I realize geography plays a giant role. For better or worse? Hard to say...sure it's more difficult to service people who are spread out & more difficult to contain....on the other hand, the transmissibility is lower.

6/103 5.8%(USA) vs 77/2336 3.4%(Iran)

S. Korea:
28/5186 0.5%

Here4Money = Bonehead of the year.

This is the same clown that claimed that Iran was going to kick the US's ass after the US killed a top terrorist.

You democrats are real shitheads

Trump trolling level 10

What Doc is going to climb out on a limb and prescribe off label for something that has never been used or tested? Law Suit!!

The FDA doesn’t have to approve, just the fact that they acknowledge the merits of the drug in specific off labeled use is headed in the right direction and helps Doctors.

Also, the insurance companies, including medicare need some kind of handle to be able to pay or not pay. That is a whole nuther bridge to cross over. Some may absolutely want to pay for quinilone based drugs because they honestly believe it help to keep the patient out of the hospital or the icu. Others mays may say, screw you we don't reimburse for off label prescriptions. All of those battles lie ahead. And if Congress wants to intervene, it helps to have an FDA position on it, even if that position is, just "we are going to allow it but do not represent that those drugs are or are not effective."

Yeh well, those points about approving/not approving/off label etc are valid but if you want to put a finer point on it, there are enormous legal implications for companies who are gearing up to manufacture more quinilone based drugs. The FDA now has knowledge and is complicit in that effort. While it is true that an individual physician can prescribe drugs off label for a non-standard use, it has its limits if physicians and drug companies go too far afield. The FDA can shut down widespread operations that are built upon lack of science versus a private decision between a doctor and a patient.

So I am going to rate your points as MOSTLY TRUE, but rate your assertion that nothing really different has happened as MOSTLY FALSE.

The FDA is saying now "I see what you guys are up to in advance and I am going to allow it." In the world of pharmaceuticals where you have government and private lawsuits up the ying yang that is something that the companies look for bigtime before gearing up to enter a field.

Sorry if I don’t take your word for it but I am not aware of Trump or the fda taking any legal action to “allow” the use of quinilone. What I am aware of is that the White House is directing an increase in supply.

Clearly there is consensus thinking this stuff has some benefit and I don’t see too much liability in that as I believe was Faucci who said they were not going to be prescribing this stuff willy nilly.

I clearly outlined which parts of your post were true, and which parts were false.

Go back and read it.

You are welcome.

When finally tabulated, the death rate of Covid- 19 will fall in line with every other flu virus. Notice how only liberal cities and states are making a big deal out of this in the USA. How pathetic they are.
