Cornix's TA Performance

Correction:

if we consider July so far then yes it's overall underwater since the start of the journal. And while I fully understand for a typical ET member a couple of losses are a true reason to panic I will respectfully prefer to just keep trading exactly the same way. :)

I don't understand your calculations. Please post each trade you have posted here and the calculation to get 4% return. I add up each trade and its an overall loss--- maybe I am missing a winning trade that turns the losses profitable?

Do you calculate total or just June?

Right. How do you get 4% from a journal that's overall underwater? Looks like creative accounting to me.

I said June was 4% profit. Report period for me is a month. Overall yes it's underwater to date.

This is really unusual --- first it's 4% return, now it's overall underwater ? Why wouldn't I consider July?

Every trade posted. What else could I use?

OK, understood. I just prefer to count chickens in the Autumn, not make long-term conclusions based on short-term equity swings.

There are report periods, which can be used as sort of a benchmark. Month or better yet a year makes sense to make conclusions. Anything in between is fine of course, but doesn't make much sense IMO.

You're welcome to consider it of course. :)

I just added up all the trades without regard to month or date. When one does this, TA has created a loss so far, not a 4% return.
