Say hypothetically that Hillary runs and wins but the House turns Republican and they keep the Senate.The only Labour PM in the last 45 years was Tony Blair.
If Trump loses re-election after losing the house and a bunch of governorships they’ll be saying the same type of thing about him. Too much racism, xenophobia, pandering to billionaires etc etc.

There have been 3 Labour PMs in the last 45 years. But Tony Blair was the only labour PM who ever won a general election in that time.
He won 3 elections, the first 2 with massive majorities even bigger than Boris and Thatcher.
A year after the Iraq war he still won a large majority with 355 seats. Just 10 less than Boris won this week.
Had he not gone into Iraq he probably would have won the 2010 election and been in power until 2015. There would not have been a referendum on Europe either.

December 2019 is pretty late in the year, so 45 years ago would be December 1974. My memory goes back to the 1979 election. My mum was terrified if the conservatives won they would kick all the immigrants out. Just another scare story/fake news spread by Labour like the privatisation of the NHS or its takeover by the US that were spread this election.

Things are kind of dull with the prime ministers in the UK so it is hard to fix them in your mind if you are an American. You have a Royal Family for entertainment and scandal that absorbs a lot of the need on the part of the masses to keep the tabloids buzzing. Someone argued once that that is one of the problems with American politics and presidents...ie. we dont have a Royal Family to kick around and to be scandalized by so the Americans try to have their presidents do double duty. Boris might be a "change agent" in that area.

Based on all the pictures we saw today she is living with him in No 10. She apparently cooked him a curry on election night. So she is going to keep his stomach full and his balls empty. Not much need for him to play away at this stage.
