Cooltraderdude's TopstepTrader Combine (daily trade report and journal)

Errr... No...!? What gave you that idea...? :D

Actually, I did punch out of it and then re-sold it higher just to make sure...

This trade was 1.3068 to 1.3045... But only cause I punched out of my 1.3051 trade... Either way I had a stop at 1.3090 and I was prepared to let it go there...

It went to 1.3084! That's 33 ticks times 12.50 a tick times two contracts = 825

You didn't like it when I was cutting everyting now you don't like this...?

Can't have it both ways you know... :D

Closed out the Euro short @ 1.3045 due to the fact that I have to meet the 3:10 CST market close rule.

I'm net positive $20 for the day....

I'm still having issues with the software... I'll try uninstalling it and installing it again to see if that fixes anything...

Nice trading today cooltraderdude.. Way to turn a red day into a positive day... Scratch days are good... preserving capital is good.

One last thing..Be careful with getting close to your loss limit.. Know when to shut it down for the day or for the trade. Trade smart and always trade for tomorrow.

The functionality is exactly the same as being live and the fills are pretty realistic as well. There's plenty of times where I've offered a 5 lot on the SIM and it only fills 2 if that price level was barely touched.

This is good to know. AMP/Ninja sim account is the same. However, the TOS sim is totally different as you will get filled when the price hits regardless of the number of lots or when you placed the order.

If you're doing the combine then you want to have fills that are as realistic as possible.

I agree. I've done the combine and the fills are realistic. I had a live T4 account running at the same time and there was very little difference.

If you are open to some criticism, I'll give you some. Or maybe we'll call these things "suggestions". One, the ES had a f*cking 3 handle range today. I have stated on these threads before that I think ES is bar none the worst trading product ever made sans 2008. If you want to do well in this combine, drop it! Two, the Euro's best trading is from 2am central time to about 9am. The earlier the better. After 9am the Euro has no flow. Again, going to be hard to make money. Three, you are seriously over trading. I'm going to seriously recommend you trade crude, bonds, gold or even the grains. Now before you tell you me how volatile these products are or you have never traded them before, let me remind you that this is EXACTLY what combines like this are for. It's NOT real money. Just my opinions of course.
no the best time is when both US and European markets are open....Right before US pre-market open up until 11am CT (europe close) is most preferred. What does 9am have to do with anything? Next time your educated guesses should be more educated.

Ugh......maybe because 9am is when a lot of our economic data comes out? What do you think skipper?

Just "perusing" this thread again, Mav. Are you keeping up with all this? Seriously, I'm just a casual observer, but hope that everyone is experiencing "reality" here. 33 TICK at $12.50? Sounds like my brother at times, LOL.

Keep it all real my friend,

Don
