Cooltraderdude's TopstepTrader Combine (daily trade report and journal)

Quote from MichaelPatak:

Nice trading today cooltraderdude.. Way to turn a red day into a positive day... Scratch days are good... preserving capital is good.

One last thing..Be careful with getting close to your loss limit.. Know when to shut it down for the day or for the trade. Trade smart and always trade for tomorrow.

Your boy takes $900 in heat with a 1k loss limit, luckily gets out alive and you tell him nice trading today.

not to mention he enters right into support.

Do you boys try and teach your kids to trade or just let them try what they want to try?

SHOCKED that you have anyone making money after this public display.

Not being a dick, but just stating the obvious.

nevermind---- disregard that post-----------

Just clicked on your profile thing and you use moving averages.

:p

I don't think the point of TST is to teach people how to trade. TST is there more to provide funding for profitable traders. Sure they have classes where they teach some different market techniques but for the most part you are responsible for your own trading. This isn't one of these deals where you go, learn how to trade and then get funded. I think this program works better for someone with experience in futures already.

Why would a profitable trader take the deal that they are offering?

Why go on "public display" with this "trader" to market their firm?

WEIRD it is.

The best reason I would say is for access to more capital. If you can sign up and pass the combine then it's like a cheap call option.

Allright... THE OBVIOUS...! Hindsight is 20/20...!

I entered the first trade on a breakout... That breakout turned into support for E6...

This was a position trade that didn't go my way. When you take a position trade you wait it out to go your way or you get stopped out... Pretty simple really. I did get worried that I'd be stopped out... Punched out and got back in.

Trading ain't for scared money... If I'd played it scared I would have had a loss... Had I played it better I would have had a big win.

Good news...

Reinstalled T4 and now I can bid/offer...! So no more software issues...!

Just "perusing" this thread again, Mav. Are you keeping up with all this? Seriously, I'm just a casual observer, but hope that everyone is experiencing "reality" here. 33 TICK at $12.50? Sounds like my brother at times, LOL.

Keep it all real my friend,

Don

That's the reality of it Don... Trading ain't for scared money.

Even if you passed the combine do you actually think Michael would hire you?

Be honest here...if you were interviewing someone who appears to trade rudderless like samity sam would you hire them?

You guys missed the point...!

The point here isn't to get hired! The point is to showcase what the TST experience is like and to settle the issues on ET with TST...

This is why the live journal is being done...

CRITICISM TO TST:

Tech support is weak... That's about it...

Everything else is OK... so far...
