Conservative hero Roy Moore diddles 14 year old girls

Correct.

Each house may punish members for their behavior.

No authority whatsoever to punish for behavior prior to becoming a member.

NONE.

It doesn't say it cant be for behavior prior to becoming a member

U.S. Constitution - Article 1 Section 5

Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behavior, and, with the Concurrence of two-thirds, expel a Member.

Wait, what? If you say "It is not in my character to do such things", then that is a denial. I'm not supporting Moore for anything here, but don't be silly and say that this statement isn't a denial.

If he denies flat out and some proof is found, he is toast. Now if he says, it is not in his character, he can always claim that he does not remember. He had all the opportunity to say that he did not date teens, and his pathetic response was , "well I always asked the mother".

In any case, it is up to the voters of Alabama.

LAME.

Take your pick of any number of conservative or liberal sources to help you a bit.

I have no opinion on whether Moore will win or not. It is 50/50 .

However, if he does win, there is absolutely no chance he will not be seated by the senate if he is certified as the winner by his state. And there is absolutely no chance that he will be expelled by the Senate once he is seated. None. Zero. The Senate may pass some resolution or refer him to the Ethics Committee for counseling or some stupid thing that gives the appearance of taking action, but he will still be there the next day. If Alabamians do not want moore seated then they should put an end to it by electing the democrat. Otherwise, he is good to go.

In the meantime, while we are waiting for the election, you go ahead and be right or wrong about anything you want. Your thoughts are not a factor in regard to his seating or expulsion. Totally irrelevant.

If he says it is not his character, and proof is provided, he's outed as a liar in the same manner as if he said "never happened".

You're being a tad pedantic.

Moore case is different. 9 independent women accused him, and did you hear him on Hanity? He could have simply said, all lies, never dated teens .... instead he said, it is not in my character to do such things, thus refusing to deny flat out. All this put together makes me believe he is a sick person who has no place in senate.
I don't care if 900 women accused him, due process is due process, period. I don't care how he worded his denial, he does in fact deny it. None of this will ever see due process, so we're in the court of public opinion. The only opinions that count are those of the Alabama voter.

Due process is fine on the accusations of a sexual nature. He has, however, already proven he's a repulsive man given his opinion on numerous topics and how he presents it. If Alabama elects him regardless, it just illustrates the stupidity of many of the people of Alabama. Outsiders can only say WTF is going wrong in Alabama and how can it remain so backwards in the year 2017.

If Alabama decided that this Moore guy is their leader and represents what they want to be known for, they are welcome to it, but should expect to be ridiculed for the absurdity of their choices.

Exactly right, since he refused to step aside, it is indeed up to the voters of Alabama. Everything that could be said, was already said on this thread. Let's wait and see how things turn out.

Maybe they'll surprise us and soundly reject this Moore guy. Would be a sign of progress.
