Congress moves to turn back taxes over to debt collectors

Federal Judge Brings An End To Political Witch Hunt in Wisconsin

U.S. District Court Judge Rudolph Randa has put an end to a political witch hunt by local Wisconsin prosecutors that featured a secret investigation more reminiscent of a banana republic than the world’s foremost democracy. In two orders—one of which termed the prosecutors’ appeal of his decision as “frivolous”—Randa ordered local prosecutors to “cease all activities related to the investigation” and to return all of the records and documents they had seized from dozens of conservative advocacy organizations.

Judge Randa concluded that local prosecutors, led by Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm, a Democrat, were attempting to criminalize the political speech of about 30 conservative organizations, including Wisconsin Club for Growth. These prosecutors had instigated “a secret John Doe investigation replete with armed raids on homes to collect evidence.” The prosecutors were upset apparently over the organizations’ support of legislation pushed by Gov. Scott Walker, a Republican, to limit the collective bargaining rights of public employees. They claimed it was a criminal violation for independent organizations to engage in political speech and political advocacy in support of Gov. Walker’s proposed legislation....

Yet more abuse of power by radical leftists.

Thank god we have our freedom loving tea party in the house to stop this... or not.
The Democrats can pass anything in the house by peeling 19 votes from Republicans.
If Obama was interested or knew how to pass law, he would pressure the most moderate Republicans members.
Why does Obama waste time talking about tea party house members who will never vote with him anyways? Because Obama either doesn't know how to whip votes or that is not his agenda.

You know it doesn't work like that Mercor. But you're right it should work like that for both parties. The members can't do what they think is best if it conflicts with the leadership's talking points or if it steps on the toes of special interests. Towing the party line is stupid in many cases but that's the way our political system is set up.

What??!? I don't tow a party line, and I'm a registered republican, (but Libertarian, and Tea Party member.) The establishment RINOS, and Nazicrats tow a party line. I'm the very first to call bullshit on Republicans, and Libertarians who fuck up, as evidence from my posts here alone. I raise all sorts of hell over George Bush, John mcCain, countless others, and yes, even my favorite Rand Paul, who's no longer my favorite...:(
When was the last time you met a democrat who could name off a list like that of dems they're disgusted with? Let me answer that one for you, as even you know: None!
