Well, since these notes are about Bob and I, let me say this.. yes, we agree that there is no "edge" in baccarat...now, with that being said, are we barred from playing in several casino's.. yes we are.... a pretty pitiful point about the state of casino management, don't you think, eh?

Anyway, I'll get back to all this a bit later....my pairs are doing pretty well and I need to close out a few layers....

The heat that I used to get in Vegas was so stupid.

I mean little petty nonsense like not comping dinners and refusing rooms.

I would buy in for 1-5k per day and I would stay way under the radar.

1k per day was my max usually and 3-4 hours play at $50 average bet.

I should have been treated like a king if I was just a tourist passing through but because I was a local it was rediculas.

Bob/Don I'm very curious to hear about your method of play please share it.

When I was in college, I worked for an ex-NFL football star. It was part-time summer work only at his very successful CAD business (architecture stuff).

I asked him when did he start his business (I assumed it was after his career had ended).

He started it in his 2nd year in pro football eventhough his football career lasted about +8 years.

He also said his CAD business didn't become profitable until his 5th year in the pros.

In other words...that's 3 years of hearing comments by those that said...

why bother.

Taking this more off-topic...

Isn't Mike Tyson fighting this weekend to continue making money to pay off his creditors (he's broke) ???

Too bad he didn't have a plan B.

Well put. I think the phrase that my friends and I use for this is called "multiple income streams."

Its both fun and profitable to have a few irons in the fire, some that are red hot, and some that are just fun to move around, that don't risk much initially.

If one begins to see making money as a fun game, then often creativity flows and one cannot really help starting up other things. Its satisfying to see small things grow into things that produce nice income. Not everything works, but many things do. Who is anyone to say that anyone has to be great or good at just one business? The people who say that are usually slaves, and generally come from and stay in the poor pack. I believe in constantly planting seeds that may grow into something, even in areas where I am not yet very good. It keeps me fresh, and give me greater patience over a wide range of projects, cause there is generally something good going on in some area.

Paul Rotter made well over 50-60 millions in 2004 o 2003 (dont remember well)
I have a friend in Man Financial and at one point he was trading 300k round turn a day.. pretty amazing

When we can play, we generally just use a simple plus minus count system...I keep track of aces manually (moving my left foot actually, LOL)...and we have found that we need a much higher bet ratio....perhaps 1 hand of $25 to tow hands of $250 (20 to 1). We can still do this on the cruise ships, but not much of anywhere else.

Fooled by randomness, just like most players in the markets. Seeing patterns that also occur in random data sets.
