Athletics and trading are not that similar. If BB uses a non-discretionary mechanical system then there is no reason why such a system cannot be taught and replicated by other Bright traders (which is the point stock777 was trying to make I believe). Tiger, on the other hand, could try to teach you till he was blue in the face and you still could not replicate his performance.

I would dis agree and say that I could show 10 traders the exact same set up or pattern with a 70% probability of success and after a month they would all have very different results!

My point remains that trading and athletics are not analogous. You can be taught to trade well, there is no amount of training that would allow most of us to run a 4 min mile.

You can train with Paul Tudor Jones and not be able to comes close to his results too so, let's just agree and say they are similar but different in varying aspects.
Played Baccarat for 4 1/2 yrs in LV. It certainly can be beat.
I paid $ 5000 for a system developed by a group Isreali math professors. The system included a simple count , trend analysis and pattern recognition.
Almost 40 hopefuls bought the system and sadly I was the only one who achieved any success with it. (including the developers who could not perform it in real time)
It took me 6 mths to be able to properly impliment the system. For you card counters out there you can imagine the difficulty of count down 8 decks ... and that was just one of three factors !
That said, with a lot of practice it was doable and profitable ($400 K over 4 1/2 yrs).
But once you "Trade" size and are a consistent winner...C-ya ..86...Bye Bye... the casinos will not tolerate professional winners.
If I was to do it again it would be Texas hold'em .

WTG that's a huge achievment.
I play a lot of Texas No limit and your dicipline skills will be very beneficial for you if you make the transition.
I will warn you right now though that No Limit takes as much LUCK as it does SKILL.
