It's in our DNA to remove those that want a monarchy and force will be used if needed to remove someone that tries to use the oval office like a monarchy.
No, no it isn't.
The belief that we need media to watch over government; and
that governmental powers should be independent and separated; and
that the White House shouldn't be regarded as a monarchy in and of itself,
are beliefs that exist only in the minds of intelligent people,
people that understand history,
people that can connect dots,
people that understand why we got rid of Kings,
people that understand why the British got rid of Kings.
Trump wants-to/did get rid of the media,
replaced scores of governmental leaders with yes-men,
forced other governmental leaders to become yes-men under fear of termination,
serve more than two terms.
Despite Trump's obvious disdain for core American values, millions voted for him.
It's not in our DNA; and people aren't that intelligent, as this website clearly illustrates. So we will continue to see would-be Kings run for office, and possibly win.
As long as weak leaders are elected to both Houses, and are willing to put party over core values (even though a would-be King doesn't give af about his party--as recently shown), we will continue to see would-be Kings run for office, and possibly win.
Trump was just the first.
