lol, Yes, I have heard Overnight talk about the government ruin his trading profits before.

If he go down to the intraday chart on small time frame, then he not have to worry about the news.

I personally do not know who the Federal Reserve or what they have to do with me reading the price action all day and getting my ticks in profit.

Hello volpri,

I have learned in life, the more I read anything about the government, the poorer I become.

There is no need for me the worry about the government any more, they can not help me.

My government is now the ES futures market 8 hours a day and getting rich trading it all day.

Losing $2750 gross day trading ES futures is certainly very much possible if you trade more than one contract in a volatile market. Hell, I've lost way more in a single day in the past, but I'll honestly say I was hoping I'd be able to contain the downside better these days and not go as far as I did Friday.

I've posted my P&L here as therapy and also because I think there's too much talk and too little results shared on these boards. Too many people who's consistently buying low and selling high without ever having a losing day... :)

Good Morning Laissez Faire,

I have felt that way for awhile now on ET. There is wayyyy to much talking and teaching trading theories, and less proof. This is why I am now adding the disclaimer below to all my post on ET forum.

I applaud your courage as well to talk about your real trading. It is definitely therapy amongst traders.

Friday was tuff for me as well to recover draw down losses.

Disclaimer: These are just my trading opinions. Please do not take what I say as truth because I can not prove anything I say makes a lot of money trading. Please trade per your own responsibility. I have been day trading manually for 4 years and my total profits is about -$11,500 so I am not a profitable day trader, yet. For 2023, I am down -$4000. I am working on recovery day to day.

Love your new signature. LOL.

I took me a while to come to this realization, but my working assumption now is that > 90 % of posters on ET are not making any serious coin and most likely they're net losers if they even have a brokerage account at all.

I really do not know who is making money and who is making money. I gave up worrying about it too.

I know this, I trade real money, and I think I am pretty smart person, I doubt a lot are making seriously money.

All I know is this: I need to be making money.

Great question, 5 answers

1. My Inability to recover drawdown.
2. Not have a plan to recover drawdown.
3. Not enough practice/experience recovering drawdown.
4. Not trading real money for #2 and #3.
5. Spending WAYYY too much time coding and backtesting and optimizing trading ideas.

FYI, my algo made $10,000 the past 2 years, but lost $5000 this year. lol.
