Well on the bright side your discretionary trades are out performing your algo.

Sure. Just try to make enough to pay the bills, plus some extra each month, so you can call it a full time job, which is what most people do in their full-time job at the store/office/wherever anyways.
If you have a good plan and can execute it, you can achieve that goal in an hour or two, which would take the slave workers 8 hours to do per day.
So you would be making 4X the hourly wage they are making. When you can do that, which is beat the hourly-wager working the beat at 20 bux per hour or whatever consistently, you can do something they cannot...
You can scale up! When you double your size, you are advancing past their pay grade in a click. It would take them years to double their hourly wage though a legacy employer.

I agree with what you are saying.
I trade to get rich quick in the ES market by making $1 million dollars in one year, year after year.
Obviously, you're doing something wrong because you've been losing money. I suggest you solve that first before thinking about actually making your million.
You see, not losing what you already have is way more important than making what you don't have.
so you said u want to make $1 million by end of this year. so now it is almost end of april 2023....how much are you up or down ytd so far?

How much you’ve made doesn’t really matter,
Because you won’t keep 1M made by luck.
And that’s only the first step, treadmills.
Better thrive for profitability and consistency,
Define what it takes on a click by click basis.
Each click should lead you closer to ur goal.
Once you’re consistently profitable,
Well … That’s a daily battle.
Will never be 4ever.
But once you reach that level,
You can increase your size over time.
One day you might trade 1,000ES per trade.
That’s the journey,
Profitability, Consistency & Size.
If you want to bite an apple,
You need to plant + Grow the tree
Gotta care, focus, about what it takes
That’s why you might make 1M by EOY,
If what it takes is really working out for you.

I am down about -$4000 on the year so far.
I need to make about $125K a month to reach my target. The month of May, I will make $125K.
For some reason, some traders on ET think making $1million on the ES is far fetch. In all honesty, my goal should be $2 million in a year. I will make that the goal for December 2024.

You are correct.
It makes ZERO sense and I am completely wasting my time, if my goal by the end of the year is not to make $1 million per year trading the ES future market with +100ES contract per trade and a lot of clicks per day.
I mean, once the point of trading the ES future market if the goal is not to be rich quickly? Who wants to be rich slowly?
I read people say trading for a living to pay bills. I do not want to trade for a living making peanuts. lol, I might as well keep on working my career.
No, I trade the ES futures because I want to be a millionaire as FAST a humanly possible. So I can be rich like other rich people.
