Company is Banning Trading from Work?

Barely an hour but the rest of the time I just need to watch it. I doubt they'll allow that. Things are busy and they won't allow reducing work hours as "it's not fair to everyone else."

Speaking of goldbrickers. Everyone in the office already know I'm trading, but no one has bother to ask about it or even ask what I'm doing. Why do you think that is? Is it because they are trap in their jobs? They are in jobs that's in a tight industry. Just asking what their point of view is.

Also, if you really think I'm a goldbricker. I've been here for 3 years with no pay raise and no vacations. Who do you think is being exploited here?

I have no opinion as to whether you stay or leave but do have an opinion on your attitude. Good job, bad job ... with pay raises or without it seems there is an implied contract here. They give you x dollars for Y hours of work. I don't think it is outragous for them to expect your full concentration yet you seem to believe it is unconcionable for them to expect that.

Have we really reached that point in the US where people think it is understood that they can use company time to engage in an additional occupation. It seems ludicrious to me to even question what they expect. And WTF does having a woman boss have to do with it?

This is a company that recently fired 5 long term workers here because they were making too much money for the same type of work that newer ones are doing. I don't think my attitude about the company is ludicrous.

Furthermore, Do you even work? At my job, everyone on my team is spending half their time on Facebook, Phone, Text messaging, and Internet.

I spent my entire career as a business owner and now I trade so I start with a bias. My point is that you have contracted to do a job from, lets say 9 to 5. Whether you like how they hire and fire or whether others are abusing their contracts is not relevant to yours. As long as you are there, my opinion is, you have an oligation to fulfill your end of the bargain.

successful traders usually have an entitlement issue. If you're saying things like this it means you've haven't taste what a successful trading strategy can do yet.

Someone here on ET said something like:

"If you're are a profitable trader then why would you ever want to go back to a job?"
