Yes, we were just reviewing that today. Looks like 7.4 should be Gold in roughly a week. We are looking at a 7.5 release that will have the integrated scanners available for testing after that in an early beta release - probably targeting September for a Gold release.

Where can I access the quote board window requested by futures traders on 7.3? I don't see it anywhere. You can PM me rather than bother all here who already know.

Thanks. Will the integrated Scanner have more scans? or just the same scans as the seperate Esignal Scanner has now?
 
I know people who would get esignal just for the real time $PREM.

While we are on the topic of new features. Something useful might be the automatic chart annotation of trades. A chart could be linked to a text delimited file of trades. Those trades would be automatically drawn on the chart associated chart and could be saved that way.

Right now I annotate my charts by hand which takes a long time.
 
Esignal would blow away the competition if they offered a custom realtime scanner and custom quote pages. I hear they have some of the best programmers in the business. Many would even be willing to pay up for those extra features. I would certainly be willing to pay up.

The truth is that backtesting is not needed because you cant really backtest daytrading strategies. If one wants to backtest they can get a program that is designed for backtesting ie, wealthlab & metastock. To me backtesting is not really trading. Esignal should focus soley on trading related upgrades. Esignal's target market are traders.. not system developers.

I have no idea why they are wasting time with other things like playback modes, quoteboards, pages, etc.. and other things that are not so critical. Those are just fancy.. but a scanner and a custom quote page is what all the pros use.

Esignal already has the best retail feed and pretty charts... now its time to upgrade the quotepage completely and introduce a customizable realtime scanner.

Right now.. many people are trading the eminis.. so scanners and custom quotepages are not so critical to them...

But I bet if the market continues its rally for a while.. a lot of traders will be back to flipping momentum stocks.

Esignal wake up.. and destroy your competitors.

Is there any way to have the option of displaying a Headline news indicator in the Advanced Chart window.

I would also like to have the option of turning on or turning off the headline indicator in the advanced chart window

I want this because I run another filter application that links to eSignal Advanced charts, but I have to retype the symbol in order to check news on a stock. It would be nice if I could just click a Headline Indicator to check the news.

or Is there any way to link news for a specific symbol to a chart?

There are a bunch of posts here, so...

TG: for the Quoteboard, go to "File", "New", "Quoteboard" and it opens up the window. Customers either love this or can't figure out why you need it. We had a big firm switching to us that wanted it so we added it.

Cdntrader: First we want to integrate them, later we'll do some upgrades. We actually have a lot of customers on these scanners now so they are very popular.

PuffyGums: Real time $prem coming as part of 7.4. Don't know on the other question just yet.

Trend Fader: New quote window coming in 7.6.

MiamiBeach: We have some much asked for upgrades to the News Manager coming in 7.5.

After 7.4 goes Gold, 7.5 will come very fast. Most of the work is done, it just didn't quite fit in 7.4 - and work on 7.6 is also in process ...
