Comments on eSignal 7.x and above

I like 7.4 pages that you can automatically change every x seconds...This is really super...

As for exchanges, do you know if Russex is planned somewhere during the year?
 
Has there been any fix to the fact that you can't view the regional options feature if you're subscribed to delayed futures exchanges? I don't see how one is connected to the other, and the fact that I pay for real-time options doesn't allow me to see all the options exchanges' bids/asks quotes. The user seems to get penalized for subscribing to delayed futures quotes.

At this point, a "real-time only" subscription is required to have regional options. We estimate this to be available to real-time subscribers w/ delayed bundles (i.e. Mix & Match) around Q4 of this year.

Russian Stock Market.

I remember you told us on this forum, you also wanted eSignal to support this mkt. I don't think this is planned in 7.4 but maybe...later this year in 8.0?
 
We are pulling these new world exchanges from Comstock, now owned by our parent Interactive Data (NYSE:IDC). While they have 180 exchanges, the Russian exchange does not seem to be one of them - so sorry, you will not see that one soon.

If you really want to impress people with 7.4 new broker feature you should support the following with IB :

- Bracket Orders : when you send your limit/mkt/ or stop, a OCA (One Cancel All) group is created with a Stop (risk) and Limit (target) is sent

- Breakout orders : a OCA group is created with a SELL STOP and a BUY STOP linked to track the range breakout. When one of them is executed a bracket order is sent.

These features are available for example in Bracket-trader (www.bracket-trader.com) and would be super in eSignal 7.4. At least, on my side I can't trade without those 2 now that I know them.

I also think you should provide us with more EFS examples for integrated brokers...So far in broker folder, only one...and for Papertrading(!)

Automatic download of eSignal groups:

Say for example I have subscribed to Speciality scripts and TS Support group on eSignal Central, and that I have checked in the group property box (a new option) automatic download : every day, week whatever I setup (you can fix the number of days in eSignal), at launch or exit, eSignal will automatically download all the new EFS and put them in Formulas\Download\Speciality scripts\folder-of-the-script-on-esignalcentral


It is a wider vision than the existing EFS update. Maybe it can be an extension of this feature?

You're right. There should be more examples available on this. Just to ensure you have all the information available to you on the subject, the main EFS documentation for integrated brokers can be found under the "/eSignal/Docs" folder. Contained therein is information on integrating Interactive Brokers (IB), CyberTrader, or eSignal Paper Trade.
