All conspiracies historically have been clandestine. So I'd be hard pressed to call what's going on with Trump and the Russians a "Conspiracy". I don't think it is a conspiracy at all. In my mind it is just an extremely entertaining future Stephen Sondheim Musical. It's all being carried out right before your eyes in the open. It's only the American players that think they are in a conspiracy. The Russians know it is a Musical.

The Book is gonna be good, the stage play wonderful, but the Musical version Nirvana! Alec Baldwin can sing, can't he? Surely good enough for Broadway anyway.

You should find better liberal friends, I don't know any who is saying 'he is about to resign' - everyone is enjoying the shitshow and saying 'I told you so' to their conservative friends.

There are plenty of right wing never-Trumpers, she has conservative positions on most of the issues - she is a conservative.

Only a couple chapters of the novel version have been released so far. (It's being serialized in Vanity Fair.) The last few chapters should come out by late next summer. Who would be your choice to play Trump in the stage play version? I was thinking Alec Baldwin, with bright orange skin an orange toupée of course, would be good. He could even do the Musical assuming he can sing a bit. Who do you think could make a good Putin? Sadly i haven't kept up with the rap scene like I should, but I was thinking a very fat black rapper would be perfect for the Russian Ambassador, Sergey Kislyak. I don't know if Sondheim has composed any rap yet, but the guy is so talented, I know he could. This is going to be soooo good. I can hardly wait!

Impeachment has a large element of politics involved. The Republicans won't convict the President for anything he has done so far. Obstruction of Justice will be one of several articles of impeachment, i.e., high crimes and misdemeanors. Mueller will follow the money, just as DOJ attorney Bharara was doing before he was fired, to find out why Trump has been so obsequious toward the Russians. Rest assured there is a reason!* It is almost certainly a financial/real estate reason. Once this other shoe drops it will be curtains for dear Mr. Trump, our asshole President. Even a Republican Congress will impeach and convict once all the pieces of the puzzle are in place. As I said this is just the beginning of the Second Act. Those other puzzle pieces have just been hinted at in the First Act. They will be fully revealed late in Act Two. Possibly by late summer 2018. And won't that make for fine Television entertainment.

*It is virtually certain that Trump has done something illegal under U.S. Law involving finance or a real estate transaction involving Russian money and that there is a connection between this transaction and the election hacking. Once that connection is made Trump is as good as gone. I wouldn't give you 2 cents for his chances of survival. Putin is setting him up. It is lovely to see, as there can not be anyone in the world more deserving than Trump.

You know I made a little boo boo in that post you quoted when I said Trump won't be convicted for anything he's done so far. That's flat out wrong of course. He will be convicted for lots of stuff he's done so far. But we have to wait for those chapters to be released in Vanity Fair before he can be impeached and convicted in the Senate.

I'm just glad the Repubs are starting to fall in line. No one that matters is questioning the fact the Russians tried to sway the elections anymore, since now the guy that's seen the proof has said so, and now a leaker about to go to prison has revealed so. No one is questioning Flynn was being inappropriate w/the Russians (even as Trumpkins yelled no way when the allegations first started). Soon the facts will make people fall in line. Doing so slowly dampens the shock, so I'm okay with that.
