But when and where did the disease of leftism/progressivism, WHICH HAS DESTROYED AMERICA![]()
, really come from? Was it brought over by our English parents, with their long history of serf and worker rebellion against the privilege of those "eating turtle soup with gold spoons" (thank you, Charles Dickens)? Or was that vile seed already in our soils, with the wives of Native Americans who withheld sex to, or pissed in the pemmican of, their abusive or neglectful husbands? Or with the young braves who challenged the power and privilege of senile chiefs?
Ahh, history.

Now look what you've done. You put "social organization" in there and spoiled everything.Yeah, it started with those gay native Americans and their uppity squaws who got tired of doing all the berry picking without equal pay.
And of course progressivism has destroyed America, I mean look what it is...
Progressivism is a broad philosophy based on the Idea of Progress, which asserts that advancement in science, technology, economic development, and social organization are vital to improve the human condition.
You don't have enough likes. So I'm going to give you one for that reason alone. Oh, and since I'm a commie. He's nuts, I got this feeling reading his comments about Canada where he thinks his lunch time chats gives him more insight into our health care system then long term residents like me. Kind of funny that a glorified network engineer thinks this way.

You are nuts. Now I understand why you have so little understanding of what your Canadian "friends" are telling you, your ability to process the information is flawed. There is no such thing as "leftism", least of all some disease permeating the US. This is an irrational fear you have based on paranoia and a loose hold on reality. I would suggest you stop the long commute and take a job closer to home.

Thank you. I had him on ignore but got a glimpse of his ridiculous idea. I have no idea who the US will elect, but if it's Trump, I hope all this "close border" talk leads to Canada revoking his work visa in Toronto. We don't need him. Just illustrates some weakness in Canadian HR policies, we need to do better protecting the work opportunities of Canadians.
Of course, in his head, he thinks what he does is a specialize skill that cannot be learned, when in fact I have years of experience in IT consulting and know this is not true at all. It's inefficiencies in corporate policies that lead to overpaying consultants/contractors in roles that are best filled by full time employees committed to Canada.
ps You are right that some posters on here seem to equate "socialism" to communism, an idea that can only come from willful ignorance. I suppose I'm a "leftist" ( whatever that is ) because I live in Canada according to these clowns.
