You are nuts. Now I understand why you have so little understanding of what your Canadian "friends" are telling you, your ability to process the information is flawed. There is no such thing as "leftism", least of all some disease permeating the US. This is an irrational fear you have based on paranoia and a loose hold on reality. I would suggest you stop the long commute and take a job closer to home.

Thank you. I had him on ignore but got a glimpse of his ridiculous idea. I have no idea who the US will elect, but if it's Trump, I hope all this "close border" talk leads to Canada revoking his work visa in Toronto. We don't need him. Just illustrates some weakness in Canadian HR policies, we need to do better protecting the work opportunities of Canadians.
Of course, in his head, he thinks what he does is a specialize skill that cannot be learned, when in fact I have years of experience in IT consulting and know this is not true at all. It's inefficiencies in corporate policies that lead to overpaying consultants/contractors in roles that are best filled by full time employees committed to Canada.
ps You are right that some posters on here seem to equate "socialism" to communism, an idea that can only come from willful ignorance. I suppose I'm a "leftist" ( whatever that is ) because I live in Canada according to these clowns.

Once again, I have provided links from your own government and the Canadian media about your healthcare system. The sources are full of facts and figures -- and you have been unable to refute any of it. All you do is attack the person who brings up the facts. I have stated both positive and negative things about the Canadian healthcare system -- all backed with facts. I have even stated that some aspects of the Canadian healthcare system are better than what we have in the U.S. - but this does not change the facts about the large number of Canadians who come to the U.S. for care due to rationing and lengthy waits for healthcare in Canada.
Your dream will come true in June when I start working in London instead of Toronto.
