He was plenty good enough to play and took his team to the Super Bowl one year. I don't know why some of you want to show off your extreme ignorance about sports. If we are talking about having a job in the NFL, there are literally dozens of NFL quarterbacks who played in the league since that are useless in the role; many got multiple chances to show exactly that.

Seems to be the thing with some of you Americans these days you literally try to spin every event on the planet to meet your political agenda.
 
All pro sports leagues are strewn with OK players who never got a chance or were let go because of their big yaps.
