Coin Kaepernick Convinces Nike To Pull Flag-Themed Shoe

Read your own quoted article where it states "there have been observed differences between average scores of different population groups, but there has been no agreement about whether this is mainly due to environmental and cultural factors, or mainly due to some genetic factor, or even if the dichotomy between environmental and genetic factors is the most effectual approach to the debate."

It's pretty much on top of the wiki article. Do you understand the content? It means there has been wide agreement that there are observed differences of IQ between races, the only disagreement is whether its DNA related or due to environmental and cultural factors. However, there is wide agreement that there are observed differences in IQ between certain races. That is uncontroversial and widely agreed in the scientific community.

I did not invent the fact that African Americans more so than Caucasians buy 100 dollar sneakers for bragging rights. Please call me a nationalist because I am, I have zero problem with that. The scientific community that researched iq differences among cultures came to a clear and uncontestable agreement. It's just that those findings are not popular with the denier crowd. But that crowd has zero issue to brag that African Americans have a DNA makeup that favors high athletic achievement compared to other races. And I agree with this because it is scientifically sound. Funny how some people only pick some facts but deny others.

70% of Nike's demographic is WHITE haha...buy up white boy.

Funny how some people only pick some facts but deny others.

It's technically illegal and disrespectful, proving once again, what a patriot Colin is.

§176. Respect for flag
No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.
  • (a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
  • (b) The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.
  • (c) The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and free.
  • (d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker's desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.
  • (e) The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way.
  • (f) The flag should never be used as a covering for a ceiling.
  • (g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.
  • (h) The flag should never be used as a receptacle for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything.
  • (i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.
  • (j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.
  • (k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.

This pertains to treatment of the ACTUAL flag. U.S. cannot pass a law telling you that you cannot have a flag design on clothing or on napkins...c'mon.

This purpose of providing guidance based on the Army and Navy procedures relating to display and associated questions about the U. S. Flag was adopted by all organizations in attendance. This code is the guide for all handling and display of the Stars and Stripes. It does not impose penalties for misuse of the United States Flag. ...no federal agency has the authority to issue 'official' rulings legally binding on civilians or civilian groups.

Education, it's a terrible thing for the radical leftist. Best to stay in the ignorance of the ideology.
"...[Betsy Ross] came from a devout Quaker family--and Quakers led anti-slavery activism in America...Betsy’s home colony of Pennsylvania was the 1st to abolish slavery – in 1780, 7 yrs before the Constitution."

As a business decision Nike has shown its sponsored athletes that they will back them almost regardless. This has nothing to do with politics. It’s the same reason they didn’t drop tiger woods. They want their sponsored athletes to know they got their back.

In the end pulling shoes that have an American flag isn’t any less patriotic than selling a show for profit showing that flag.

It is not about patriotism it is about selected outrage. the Betsy Ross flag is flown regularly at U.S. events and is a symbol of the first 13 colonies of the U.S. and the Revolutionary War (hence the appearance often on July 4th.). For many years not any real public outcry that the flag refers to time that there were also slaves. In fact at the time of that Flag, only wealthy white males were really allowed to vote and women had no rights.

So Nike puts it on their shoe and as ugly as I think it looks, now there is collected outrage from Cap and twatters.

So....suddenly it is bad? Cap is getting paid by Nike, he works for them and haqs not global brnad staying power like Tiger Woods does. Tiger makes Nike hundreds of millions in golf gear so I understand why they did not drop him. But if Cap was all over the front page for cheating on his wife repeatedly in a scandal he would be dropped tomorrow.

I'm just messing around. Even if a true flag, no court would enforce it. I'm just saying it's the kind of rules cons go gaga over, but jump on Colin for inadvertently following

I did not know sketchers sold shoes for men because I have never seen a male wearing them. Thanks for the info and you have a good night.
Whaaaaat?
Tony..... I think you just busted yourself out bro.
That statement... pretty much seals the deal on the supposition that so many here have always put forth... that you are posting from some basement somewhere in Siberia (or the like).

No one that lives in N. America, Europe, or any Western nation for that matter could have written that. Unless you're some kind of off the f'n wall hermit recluse.

I can respect him fro speaking up against police violence even if I disagree with the manner how he did it.

But don't call him a "patriot" when during his time to speak out against oppression and racism he sports a Castro t-shirt praising him. We criticize Trump for raising dictators well Kap falls in teh same boat. He has no idea of history if he considers Castro a hero, Kap should google what he did when he took office and what happened to Cubans when they tried to speak out against oppression and the government.
